I'm looking at buying ny first sc truck. I'm leaning towards getting s sc10 rs kit. It comes with the lipo battery as well as charger for it. This will be mmy first electric also. How long do the batterys last per charge. I plan on racing this also would I need anything else?

1.)Lipo balance charger.
the sc10s are pretty good race trucks as RTRs. should be a good time but see what type of trucks the guys at your local track run to see what is most popular. unless you are racing in the stock class i would get a different set of tires to use according to your tracks surface. as far as run time it all depends on how you drive it and the capacity(mah) of it.

The RTR radio absolutely sucks! Not at all worthy of being in a race truck, so consider this before buying. The RTR with a nice spectrum radio is competitive. Now I don't know which motor is in the kit for but. I run a 8.5 with a 5000 pack through two back to back Mains, ( we do 2 bump ups from B to A mains) on one charge.

Yea at this being my first electric car I dont know too much about the motors or batterys and how long they last. If I like racing then I will upgrade the radio

Depends what classes your track has. For 2wd my track only has blinky which is my fav anyhow, very competetive and all about clean lines and not wrecking but I LOVE my sc, love whooping the losi's.

What class u wanting? If its blinky I can give u some setup tips and tricks.for that truck.

Yes also what mah is the battery? I have tried many lipos so far and I find "vant" lipos while cheap offer the best performance but that's just me, I'm soley race with my vants. No idea why they just give.me more speed yet they cost me $35 online lol, that's for 5600 mah. can't beat that but we all have our preference.

For reference with a 2wd a 5600 lasts me so long I get tired before I hit the cutoff lol. Runs like 15-20 minutes.

What is the blinky class? I'm leaning towards the sc10 RTR truck that comes with the lipo and charger. Any opinions on that? It doesn't seem like anyone is racing truggies anymore and everything is revolving around SC

Lord don't get the rtr if you want to race. Get the 10.2 factory team which has the ball diff, titanium turn buckles, carbon battery strap, aluminum threaded shocks, vts slipper, aluminum hubs, , etc... the ball diff is awesome but requires more maintenence than the gear diff but makes a big difference in traction.

Blinky is 17.5 turn motor. I run a tekin rs esc and tekin redline 17.5 motor and love it. Great class to learn and it never gets boring even when you get good because its such a competative class I'm sure everyone else would agree.

Of course budget applies here, get the factory team if you can afford it...if not you can always upgrade your rtr and make it factory team someday! Also side note...you can get 5000mah 2s lipos for like $40 all day online. The tekin setup will run you about $200 on eBay, but most motor esc combos that are high end cost that.
