now that i have gotten my ths racing pipe i want some good suspension for my rs4 3. There are soo many different ones LOL i want suspension that is good enough for drifting. Also can someone tell me what the threaded shcoks are so special for?

first thing you need are some adjustable turnbuckels, chnge the ends from ballcups you will thank me later, then the car really needs aluminum C Hubs and knuckles,I also went ahead and put on some aluminum arms and lower bulkhead/arm mounts.Install some aluminum steering cranks and boom,SUPER STIFF/NO SLOP

um jonser isnt your ppost a little bit in the :OT: area? is this stuff really needed before i get new shocks?

That's not off-topic. Suspension includes more than just springs and shocks.

jonser4u, how much more does the Au stuff weigh over the stock plastic pieces? The front C hubs do have a lot of play in them and I'm wondering if the added weight is worth it.

I don't have any swaybars yet, but getting that set of assorted front/rears would help you tune the handling to how you drive. I'm going to get some.

Off topic? If you will read, you wrote you wanted SUSPENSION!Suspension consist of alot more than just shocks buddy! If you wanted to know about shocks you should have asked about shocks! Killer, the aluminum is a very slight weight gain true, but its not noticable.Very small price for the added strength and ridgidity!

Its kool,Man I have invested alota money into my RS4.Amazingly I still run the stock shocks?I have added HPI purple springs in front and HPI light blue in back with some 50wt in front 40wt in the back silicone oil.

The ones I've seen didnt impress me,you tighten or loosin for desired spring rate, but in turn effects ride hight?they also didnt stay adjusted, nothing to lock them in the desired position?eye candy!

ok the main reason why i want new shocks is because the way that it is now my car is just a slight bit off the ground is that how its supposed to be/ i mean thats when its not running what weight shock oil should i use?

You can move the shock position on the shock towers and a-arms to raise it alittle if thats what you are wanting!

ok heres another question how low should it be off the ground? am i becoming an annoyance to you?

No man its kool, most touring cars sit about 1/4 inch off the surface. The lower center of gravity is where alotta the cars handling comes from!

ok then i think ill leave that alone since i only just drive around..next on the list is graphite shock towers and upper deck. i just took a look at hpi's websit and my car already has the HPI SPORT SHOCK SET 45-56 SET.

Graphite towers will give you more shock mounting options fridge. Jonser has given you some good advice here. I too have upgraded the hell out of my SS and too am still running the stock shocks. A spring upgrade is in order though. Is your car spinning out of control at most any given turn yet???

no it doesn't spin out yet..does that mean i need new shock if it does?? my nitro buddy's car spins on turns like no tomorrow LOL

No you don't changing the springs to stronger ones and stiffening the shock oil a little bit should do the trick.
