Ok i have a bunch of other nitro r/c's so anyway. I have about $350 for a nitro onroad r/c but for some reason i can't theink of any. So anyone have suggestions?? I'm am gonna bash for the most part and hit up a few races at my track.

Frank

I'll recommend the Yokomo GT-4 RTR, simply because I have one. Very good chassis, 60mph capabilities, and quite durable.

what do you guys think of the rs4 ss or the nitro 4-tec??

Frank

Nitro 4-Tec=Not something you want. I've heard too many bad things about it.

ofna ld3 for 320 bucks with a picco engine........I'm 60% done building mine its great........not a hard kit to build

If ur thinking of the RS4 SS, ur better off if the R40. Good racer and it's a step up from the RS4.

but the thing is i really dont' plan on racing. i might race every now and then but thats about it. The car is going to be used mostly as a basher.

Frank

Yeah that's probably cuz of the belts. I always tell people what everyone else says, avoid belts if you're a basher...cuz they'll break or get worn fast.

But to be perfectly honest, when i had my Nitro Ob4 (which is belt driven) I never once had rocks take out the belts. I DID have rocks in the spur gears though.

With that said, i'm still a little confused as to whether the R40 would be THAT bad of a basher or not.

U are correct. It's not a basher. Since he said he was going to race a couple of times I thought he might want another option to choose from.

My GT-4 is belt driven, and the spur gears definitely do take a beating, whereas the belts stay fine...maybe I should get an NTC3 as a basher and race the GT-4. I would also like to add that with a $350 budget you can have a pretty nice NTC3.

The RS4 SS is not a bad option however the RS4 EVO is awesome. Has the new T-15 engine which makes more horsepower than the 12RSS and comes with a 2 speed as well and also comes with the roto start and the appropriate radio gear. If you want to race with it and be competitive you better have kind of a little money to put into it. The NTC3 is a great option for basher/racer it will be competitive either which way from what I understand.

The engine in the RS4 EVO makes more power than the 12RSS? Are you sure about that? If you are, that's a hell of a deal, $279.99 at Hobby People.

thanks alot guys. what are your comments on the ntc3 and the any other onraod??

Frank

NTC3 is probably the best supported onroad out there, and there are reasons it's as popular as it is. For a first time on-roader I think it is a great choice.

rtr or kit form?? if i get kit form i wont be able to buy an engine for a while. but if i buy the rtr form i just gonna upgrade most of the parts anyway. so what am i better off with?? I think the kit would be good for me but then i will just have to hold off on the engine and stuff. and my b-day is in the begining of march which means more money:LoL:

but if i do get the kit what engine should i geT??

frank

O.S. makes a good line of engines that will fit it, but I'm not really an expert on that. Both of the engines I've run came with the car.
