I would get the bigger one because the resolution is better on paper.

ok thanks Rob.....prolly a dumb question but they are "ready to run" lol outta the box arent they?

go with the 40", a DVD player built in isn't that great, just one more thing to break right? plus your gonna end up going blu-ray soon right?

Yea, it's "ready to run" but your gonna want to call your cable/satellite company and order a HD DVR and grab an HDMI cable

LOL

Pretty much they are ready to run.

When you first turn it on it should go through a setup process to program channels, region you are in, date/time, etc.

The 40'' er for sure it seems to be twice the tv as the 32" er! Really for the price you can't beat it I just did a quick search and that is a good deal! I am ready to get one!

ok i'll prolly do the 40 then...I've always liked 40's any ways lol...thanks guys.

Remember that these are widescreen format also. So even though you have a 25" TV now, a 32" widescreen isn't much taller if at all. So if you want a bigger view, go with the 40". I have a 42" and I love it. Bigger is always better.

oh ok, yeah definatly want a bigger view if I'm spending the money.

Man that is a nice price.
Haven't looked at any for a long time.
Amazing how much the price on high tech gadgets has come down.

Me and the first wife gave almost that for one of those floor model 25" TV's.
Damn, I'm getting old....

Let us know how you like it.

The 40" for sure, better contrast and 3 hdmi's, satellite, game system, and blue ray player.....Blue Rays are killer! If your going from a tube to this be prepared to see tv in a whole new way, I was in shock for about a month after buying my LCD.

Yeah I would say go for the bigger one. The built in DVD almost always breaks fast and just not worth the hassle. I got a crazy deal on the 32" in my bedroom....I got it home for $275. Ok it was a display but had only been out for about a week one of the fast special buy items. LCD for under $300? Well allrighty then I'll take it. Gosh it had no box I had to throw away, so hell that was an added bonus for me...get the big one!

Well they didnt have either one in store last night and the cheapest 40" they did have was $1600! so i bought a 32" Sharp. It was just over $400 out the door. works great and is big enough for me, for now atleast.
