Thanks for the info^^ I heard that the Wasp .26 and Picco .26 are the same, so it's interesting to see how they compare to the XTM 24.7. I'd like to find out more about the SH .28. It seems that Hobbypeople has it on backorder for $190, but they don't take Paypal anyways...

For anyone that doesn't know, the truckzilla engine(.46) is really just a hellicopter engine built for an RC truck. I just was looking @ threads about them and every one is saying that they don't run good and they are hard to tune. Well, I just found out today from Erwin ( my LHS owner) that his friend puts helicopter fuel in his and it runs as fine as any other engine. He says it has alot of power and it's easy to tune with Heli. fuel, Just something I wanted to bring up.

Well, I guess I'll see what the .46 engine can do with heli fuel^^ I think I would still want a faster engine if I decide to race though.

I just got the fatom 27 and it is awsome. only 2 tanks through breakin and it is pulling wheelies. i think it is gonna be awsome once i am through with the breakin and get it tuned right

Well i guess those little .26's are gettin stronger.Lol :jk:

Well anyway If u want a savage to be overpowerd well i would say get the .46!And if the .46 dies on u then send it in to hot bodies they will replace it for free!!i have yet to see another company like them!!The have by far the best customer support and stand behind there products!!Also i am in the process of breaking in my new .46 that i got from Hot bodies since my old one died. And breaking in these .46's it will take about 10 tanks till it will start waking up.And when it does hold on!!I have bent 2 wheelie bars bent 1 hardend steel drive shaft. Also here are the things u should buy if ya wanna get the .46 going right.
Also it will do wheelies with a 19T Bell Like Crazy!! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A .26 or 24.7 Try To That (Also The :devious: .46 Will pull wheelies running rich with the 19t on it)

1.4 gear Spider Mod (this is a freakin MUST!!)
2.SS Pipe (wakes the motor up so much!! after the SS pipe u Will have to Ease The Throutle!)
3.Nova Racing Clutch Shoes
4.Motor Saver Air Filter
5.Buy A Good Wheelie Bar :devious:

Thats my 2Cents On The .46 :2cents:

Does the Roto Start fit on the Picco .26 Engine?
Yes it does, I had that settup in my Savage and loved it, alittle hard on one way bearings, but if you are careful, it works fine. You need a spacer to keep the one way shaft from coming out too far and damaging the bearing. Let me know if you need more information, and I will dig it up.

Where did you get a 19T clutchbell for the .46 engine? I'd like to have one.

well i got the .46 with one when i bought the conversion kit without the gay wheels. And they will give ya 19T if u buy it without the wheels. Also u can pick one up at meganitro.com

If ya want one i could sell u my 19T bell for $10.00 with bearings.I guess i was wrong i thought mega carried everything for the .46.OOwell!lol

Hey everyone. Sorry I havent posted in a while. I decided to change the topic of this thread a bit. Insted of just comparing two possible engines for the Savage. This thread is now a place where you can post all the possible upgrade engines you can buy for the Savage and why they are a good engine. Maybe we can answer the never ending question of what is the best engine upgrade for the savage.

The thing is, I never knew that there's a 19T bell for the .46 engine (unless someone other than HB makes it) and if there's one, I would suspect that meganitro has it. Even HB made the correction saying that the kits come with 17T bell instead of 19T like the manual says.

Whoa, if you sell your 19T clutch bell, how are you going to run your zilla?
