I have an O.s. .15 in my T-maxx. I am running the smallest motor saver filter now, thing is it has no elbow and is really close to the head(sucking heat). Can you give me some recommendations on a new filter to get to run a little cooler? That will fit on the .15 :D
thanks

They do make elbows for the MotorSaver. There are also some home-made cold air intake mods that can be done on the cheap.

At the moment, I think you have perhaps the best filter on there. You may just need to look for an extension option (like those mentioned above).

Do you know of any web sites that have the custom elbows? I don't really want the one that goes all the way to the front. Just one that gets it away from the head. I looked and couldn't find any sites. Looking for a chrome one.
thanks

BigBoys - For a second their I though you where serious and we where gonna have to give you a collective cyber bitch slap. The K&N pretty crap filters sell like hotcakes on E-bay. Poor shleps.

Bmoney - I have no idea where you can get a "Chrome" elbow but E-bay would be a good place to start. I would seriously consider taking SkyMaxx's advice and making a custom intake elbow for the filter. You could make it for next to nothing.

i went to the hardware store and got pvc elbows one of them was a 45 degree and they worked for me but i used it in my maxx

post some pics when your done of how it went on there. for the chrome part get some alclad chrome paint, it comes out pretty nicely. 30% i knew i d get your blood flowin!! lol
