New Guy here so bear with me... I recently pulled my T-Maxx out after a few years in storage. Haven't run it yet, cause frankly I need fuel and a plug, but I have started to change a few things. For instance, I trashed the EZ start and put on a Pull Start. Got the Plug Ignitor so I'm good to go there. Also just added an RD Logics Dual Exhaust, and It already has a K&N air filter (which requires some cleaning) from when I was running it back in the day lol. It Has a stock 2.5 engine with an extended stack from "3Racing". Everything else is stock out of the box and I was looking for some help on upgrades. Any Assistance is greatly appreciated... Thanks :\ I've attached some pictures for reference

Get rid of the k&n air filter.. they let a lot of junk in. Get a motor saver air filter and never look back. That rd logics pipe will also not provide enough back pressure and cause your engine to run lean. It will wear out really fast with that setup.

Steelcity has some good points. RD Logic pipe - plain sucks!!! on a 2.5 and while the K&N looks cool as hell they actually make it quite difficult to tune. Had both on my Maxx and discarded the K&N for a 3 stage foam and went with a HPI 4.6 stock pipe and havent looked back since. Produces plenty of power (for a 2.5) and my carb guts have never stayed cleaner.

I had no luck with the same set up, now i know why i went through so many engines on my last truck, i had the same pipe and filter and it ran like s!#*, glad i came across this.

ALumnium bulkheads they break way to easy and if u put rpm on it use blue cause it looks sick!!

are you saying that aluminum bulkheads break way to easy??? if so why do you say this??? just curiouse

First things first ditch th filter. Get an oiled foam. RPM arms are good stuff, alloy bulkheads are almost a must on a Maxx. The RD Logics pipie looks good but runs like crap. No back pressure and that leads to bad fuel flow and always chasing a tune. I would Ebay the sucker if I was you.

yea i have a maxx and rom arms and alloy bulks r a most and u would prob also like a rechargable hump pack

o yea and ditch that 27mhz radio and go with somethin 2.4

New stock or motor saver filter
THS pipe and manifold
5 cell hump battery and trx 3034 switch
Aluminum bulkheads
RPM arms
Lunsford pins
Ofna violator tank
5x8x2.5 ball bearings for the steering and throttle linkages
RPM towers, or aluminum with plastic body mounts
Big bore or Losi 8ight shocks
2.4 ghz radio...trx or dx3s

That's should get you started, but with a maxx there are no limits!
