it is the needle closer to the HSN or is it the the needle on the spongy purple thing, my manurel and a engine book is telliing me two different things!! please someone help me. i got a savage .21 if that helps! 8-0 8-0

The LSN is the one on the slider (the thing that the servo linkage is hooked to, purple thing), on the very end, flat head screw driver needed. Adjust with caution.

It is on the end of the purple thing. If you put the savage on a dek and look on end of the slide you will see it.

ok that is what i thought, but my mag. i got is telling me it is the one closet to the HSN, why?? is the book wrong or is it different on sum engines.

On the 21BB, the LSN is on the slider, MRN is on the oposite side of the carb on the same axis as the LSN, and the HSN is sticking out of the carb in the large brass tube where the fuel inlet is.

Some carbs don't have a MRN, like the Picco Outlaw 26. Some rotary carbs do have the LSN on the same side as the HSN. But as a general rule, slide carbs have the LSN on the slider.
