i dont have much money, and i just wanted to know if i can buy it cheaper tyhen $439.99 at towerhobbies.com. thanks. can not wait until christmas:w00t: :read:

if you cannot afford 500$ dont even get intot he hobby.. cause they lack to tell u of the 30-50$ batt pack and charger for the roto start, the 20-30$ gal of fuel which will be burnt for break in and tuning, 20$ glow ignitor, and all kinds of other little things..

Well i wouldnt tell anyone NOT to get into this hobby but I will caution you to the fact that the cost of nitro RC tends to add up quick. All the little extra things that you need to support your ride seem cheap at first ($5 here $25 there) next thing you know youve spend another $100 and you still havent broken anything.

I dont want to scare you off but just understand that the majority of us will easily spend more then $1000 in the first year alone.

If you want to get into the hobby, but haven't had any experience with nitro, or R/C in general, you might consider something like the Hot Bodies Lightning RTR. It comes with just about everything you'd need to get running (except for fuel and a C cell battery for the ignitor), but it's kind of high performance (relatively) which might increase the damage factor. Or one of the 1/10 scale RTR's. Like a stadium truck. They're a blast to drive, burn less fuel, and are less expensive to get initially. The savage is a cool truck, but you'd end up investing a lot of dough getting it to bullet proof condition, and you will break stuff with that truck (or any MT class vehicle). They just beg to be dogged hard, and that causes parts failures.

error401: you took the words right out of my mouth

As much as I'd like to get the Savage 25 when it comes out, cahnces are I'll probably get a Nitro RS4 instead - cheaper out of the box, as well as lower costs overall - might as well see if this little "splurge" of mine is going to actually be used, or sit in the garage/basement like so many other "hobbies" LOL

laterz...
