Tubes? To line the track with or to go under the dirt to make a base for a jump?

The stuff that lines a track is just flexible drainage pipe that you can buy in 50-100 foot sections at a menards or lowe's.

Menards, Lowe's, Home Depot. It's not cheap though when you have to buy thousands of feet of it. A friend of mine just spent $850 on it for his track.

If your talking about the black stuff on my track its called drain tile. It works well, you will also need some long spikes to hold it in place.

We didn't have to pay for any dirt, or equipment to move the dirt, so just the drail tile.

All in all I'd say 1500 give or take, including the drivers stand and fence. Well worth it though!

check out my build thread, search track rework and it will come up.

Its 145x70, not huge, but not tiny either. Your going to want 10-13ft lanes, and if you are going to have elevation changes you will need some sort of drivers stand because it is very dificult to drive from the ground.

You're not going to want 100% clay unless you are putting together an indoor track. Here in the midwest we run mixtures of clay/dirt and other special blends.

A little advice against tires, the track layout and using tubing or pipe is really to give the track form and somewhat of a boundary. Pipe/tubing is usually easy to get off of if you rail it, or to cross. Also pipe is a little more forgiving if you rail it as to causing damage. Tires on the otherhand will lead to issues. Also, pipe/tubing is easier to layout and move for track changes. Trust me on this one, I help with the tracks at our club.
