Another one here

This is my first nitro and it still blows me away....I was playing with it at work and crashed into our high pressure well system and snapped the pipe shooting a 30 ft. water spout into the air. But don't worry the SAVAGE is o.k.....lol:third_place:

Got one here too!! Along with a T-MAXX 3.3 mine is a Savage X that I picked up used a couple weeks ago got a brand new K4.6 engine on it new spur and pinions can't wait to get it up and running!!

I love it. It sounds alot better than the stock plastic (composite?) pipe and gives it a quite a little boost on the low end.

I've got a stock for now Savage X 4.6. I've several mods and upgrades lined up for it down the road after I get my Slash and Revo finished. Honestly though I can't think of too much on this thing that needs to be changed, it's just an awesome platform:D! Here are pics my girlfriend took at our last local race.

Yup got one here. Started off with a Himoto Eldorado then ebay'ed a brand new Savage 4.1 a few years back. Upgraded to a K5.9 last year. Steel Spur, Alum. Diffs, HPI tuned pipe, Big Bore shocks, Hump pack, Sand paddles, a series of clutch bells. Sucessfully jumped over a school bus...once.

HPI Savages

We have three HPI Savage X ,one with OS 3.0HP the otheres with a few upgrades,We also have a Savage XL stock and a Savage 25 that I'm converting to an XL. Also in our trucks we have an S-Maxx ,T-Maxx ,Revo 3.3 all our trucks run great ,but it is really hard to Beat the HPI Savage and the Traxxas Revo,Good reliable tuff trucks. All of our trucks run Merlin Glow plugs and we Bash on S&W Fuel 15 percent.

HPI Tank cleaning

I have cleaned several tanks out with old fuel that was left in them. What I use is acetone ,swish it around and let it sit then dump it out.Repeat if needed.:D
Hope this helps.

get a set of the hpi big bores it make it handle alot better and make it sit lower and you only have 4 i stead of so it lowers weight as well i have a set

Welcome to nitro, and welcome to the forum, you can always find help here. Love the Grave Robber body btw.

Well, figured it'd be nice to have a body and wheels that aren't used to running 10 tanks of fuel in a row without a break down...

You do have a very valid point, Olds. My 3.3 is trashed again, so I ran the Savage in our points race today, 1 Savage & 5 Revo's, I was the only one to finish all 3 qualifiers and the main. Almost makes me want to finish the season with my Savage.
