What are some good durable and ok priced wheels for the maxx, cause i am going to buy new tires and figure go all the way. Cause the plastic one just suck.
 
I personally have never had a problem with T-Maxx stock wheels. I think I have about 12 of them in my tire bin. What's too much $$$ for you? I'd recommend if you don't want to fork out the $$$ for aluminum rims then buy yourself a set of RPM rims.
 
yes, pirata said it. u do not need to get aluminum wheels. they are a waste of money too me. i am running Pro-line weld rims and pro-line maxx masher's on my truck and they work awsome.

I like the lite racing wheels so I went with the Proline Velocity dish wheels with the Proline BowTie tires and I love them. I am thinking of getting the same wheels with the Mulcher tires on them.
 
i have the mulchers and they seem to work pretty good in dirt. have not had a chance to get them to a track tho.

I'm still running the stock rims and tires and I have no problem with them at all. They work great.
 
I just got a set of the Maximizer Beadlocks and they are pretty cool. As their sticker says "Glue Sucks!"

Have you ever tried lighter wheels/tires? It made a real big difference on speed and handling. I still run the Stockies on pavement do to the long life of them, but for all off road action I slap on the good shoes. The weight difference was a half pound or better if I remember right.
 
When your buying New rims & tires, the weight factor makes a huge difference. I've been through MSJ Al. wheels, Maximizer Beadlocks, stockers, Orion Fresh kicks...etc I've found the RPM wheels to be the lightest and pretty strong. If your running a .21 & have the power, the beadlocks or Al. wheels are nice...
As for tires, I like the Imex Bajas & swampdogs...
 
I second, or third the RPM line. The coolest thing is you can get them in white and they are dyeable for even more customization.
 
I am gonna have to jump on the RPM bandwagon, I have the stablemaxx claws, with pro-line Maxx mulchers, and I love them! I got them in chrome, once the chrome starts looking crappy I will strip them with easy off then dye them.
 
yes i have had to taken my RPM rims and dyed them for the 2nd time already. but they are a really good rim expecially with the mulcher tires. great combo.

Where can I find the info on how much each wheel weighs?? Also, what's the best way to dye the wheels?
 
I have 3 sets of wheels:

1) Primary set - Imex J-Hawgs on RPM StableMaxx wheels. Can't go wrong with RPM.

2) Proline Mulchers on stock wheels

3) Stock tires/wheels

I love my RPM wheels!!!!
 
i am running stock rims and tires now. would it be a good thing to get pavement tires? i am on the road more than i am in dirt or grass.:OMG:
 
You can run the stockers on the road, but a good set of street tires is always a nice addition.

I run ProLine Road Rage tires on my Savage and T-Maxx. Great tire for road running of the MT.
 
yes that would probably be better. even tho the stock tires are pretty strong and dont wear down easily. (unless u have a dremel).
