I am just curious what other people think of this car. I started off will duratrax off road ST,overdive. I got into on road about a month ago. Bought the rtr rs4 and wasn't very inpressed. Probley because my freinds TC3 runs like a big dog or at least all over my hpi rtr. So I had to go buy the ss. I am very happy with it. I havent even started tweeking it in yet. Just trying to see what other people have found or maybe some trick comment anything. I give it Two thumbs up. But I may know no better.

I also have thr RTR 3, but I have added the two speed tranny, replaced the carb with an OS 10e, and replaced the crappy stock header. I am getting ready to order the RD Logics one piece tuned pipe for it now. I wish I had waited for the SS, it was not available when I bought my RTR 3. It has a much better engine, if I am not mistaken I believe it is manufactured by Novarossi for HPI. It also has the two needle carb that the rtr does not, as well as the two speed tranny and big tube header. It also has the adjustable turnbuckles that the RTR3 does not. I like the fact that in both of them all the electronics are confined in one tray that can easily be removed with three clips to make for easy cleaning of the rest of the car.

Let us know what you think of the SS compared to the RTR3, once you get it dialed in.

When its a club race, it mostly boils down to driver skill. Once you hit pro, every little performance enhancer helps. For now Hpi's can hold their own. Especially with the new R40 coming out soon. The SS keeps up with NTC3's on our track too. So if your not happy with your car, either get the NTC3 or sell it to me.

I LOVE MY SS, I recently ordered the carbon radio tray and the bulk heads, I hope I dont get any sh@t for saying this, but like it is I smoke TC3's at my track!!! can't wait to lower the center of gravity and weight and see how it handles!!!

Hey, I am to lazy to get into it, so I will say it is a great starter car for onroad. It can be a full out race car if you put time and money into it. Thats all I have to say bout that.
Jonser has a pretty good car, if you ask him or Kellen, they will tell you its good.
I would list all mods to my car but I don't feel like it now, just got home from 10 hour shift at work. If you want them later, just ask.
I will when you want them. Don't want to waste time doin it if you don't care.
