I believe touring is gonna be basic 1/10 4 wheel drive car. The on-road is going to be your 1/8 scale rear wheel drive car. The bodies are like really pointy. I can't think of the name of those race cars. I know they go like 70+.

so touring is when the cars usually have normal car bodies, and on road is when they have those funny slanted, slot car looking bodies?

I think that's right. Kinda funny since you can only run on-road with a touring car... Maybe someone that runs a 1/8 can enlighten us.

1/10 scale cars are called touring because they are sedans. 1/8 is the formula of r/c nitro cars. The bodies are called GTP, or a wedge.

Touring is sedan .12 class and have mostly 26 to 30mm tires on them.
1/8 is a .21 class with wedge bodies and really wide tires and a slim and light chassis build.

Hope this helps you boys out.
Peter

On road used to be 10th scale pan cars on a road coarse also. The class has all but dried up and now it's moving the Pan Sedan way.

Touring ='s sedan type cars.
