i have a revo 2.5r my first one i have had it for two months.whats the best way to learn about all the different companies and products?without paying for mags?for example clutch shoes one guy says integy makes some another said there is a 3 shoe for it.see what I'm talking about.is there a web site?can someone tell me what the best companies are to look into?i kno of integy and rpm. thanks, john

You can do a search for any part you're interested in, but before you buy, ask here. Someone, usually LOTS of someones, will have used that part and will be able to tell you to steer clear of it, or depend on it.

hey ya as for my experience ASK HERE! AMAZIZZZING PEOPLE HERE that will answer ur questions...

You can start by using the search feature right here. Click on search, type in 'clutch' or refine your search to '3 shoe clutch' and you'll amazed how much information you'll get.
After reading that, you can post a question in the proper forum if you need more info.

cool thats going to help alot!what about the top companies for revo.

Alot of this forum's own sponsors actually make great hop-ups for the Revo. Golden Horizons I know makes nice aluminum parts for it. Just go to the main forum page an on the left side is links to all the sites.

check out RC Driver's website. they just did the write up on the new revo. you should be able to find links to all the major hop up companies.

whats that web site it i tried to google it

nevermind it has to be caplocked

I really have to chime in here. because it is the best way I learned. I Crashed my first truck and had to take it apart to fix it. So I went to various forums to ask the "PROS" I also creeped around the forums and online rc mags to learn stuff.
So now, GO OUT AND CRASH AND BASH YOUR TRUCK, HAVE SOME FUN, TAKE SOME PICS THEN COME BACK AND WE'LL GIVE YOU SOME TRICKS.

HRDDRV SAID THAT, " WE GONE BYE "

Well, I'll add this little nugget of wisdom: RUN AWAY FROM INTEGY!

Oh, and welcome to the site!

As for hop-ups on the Revo, I suggest visiting the monster truck forum and running a search, it'll help a ton!

cool thanks yeah i was very disappointed in my evo3rear skid plate sux d! yeah I've bashed the shyt out of it.rpm aarms titanium rods in front. new axles on order.my lhs is kinda small so i have to kno what i want so they can order it.i stripped the hexs in my wheels so now its time for new wheels and tires

and integy locking diffs which i have mixed feelings on

the lhs wants to sell you what they got

that is why the lhs are going out of business. The internet is taking away bus. Just awhile back the only one in fifty miles from me closed. They didn't stock much anyway.

Just out of curiosity what is wrong with Integy Parts because I have there bulkheads and hub carriers and have had no problems, If you go goggle what ever you are tring to find info on you can get alot of info that way to...

The biggest problem I've seen with integy is not just that some of their parts have problems, it's that when you have a part of theirs and it breaks or something goes wrong, they have as close as a person can get to NO customer service. They have an attitude that they sell the part and then could care less about the customer. Also, once you've bought parts that are made in America and see the difference in build quality and materials, it's like night and day. Golden Horizon, for example, sells parts that are priced about the same and many are priced better than integy, and they actually build a prat that makes you say "wow, this is a beautiful piece of engineering" If it ever breaks you can call or email GH and talk to a PERSON and get the problem resolved, and any part that breaks during its lifetime, GH will replace absolutely free. I'm not just speaking about something that I've read about on the internet, I spent quite a bit on integy parts when I first got into the hobby and didn't know any better.

Truth be told, if the shop went out of business, the customer service stunk. This is from personal experience (I worked in one with employees that couldn't care less about the customer). Towards the end of the shops' "life", the motto was "if it doesn't have four wheels, flies or floats, don't bother us with it".

Shortly after I left the shop, the attitude changed for the worse (to what I mentioned above). While I was there, it wasn't a half-bad hobby shop. Even for being located in the middle of nowhere and doing no advertising, we were pulling in about $1,500 a day in parts alone.

We still have three shops here in town. One of them is geared right at noobs, selling only Traxxas stuff. It's down the road from the local K-mart, so it gets a fair amount of walk-in traffic.

One is geared right at the higher-end racer (the employees of the shop I worked at started this one). It's located in the middle of nowhere too.

The third is perhaps the best; they're aimed at everyone, from beginner to pro. Whenever I need fuel, or want to go run on a track, that's the place I head out to. Usually, I end up spending more than I intend to, simply because they actually treat me like a human being when I walk in.

The hobby thrives on how one person treats another, especially when one person is a customer service rep.

Now, as for Integy; I second what Monkey said. Second, third, fourth and fifth it. I've had Integy stuff that was outright garbage. Prime example; the Indi 16x2 charger. I cannot tell you how many batteries that thing ruined. I threw it away a week after I got it (but not before smashing it) and purchased a Millenium setup. Could not have been happier.

Integy has a lot of great ideas, but somewhere between the drawing board and the cash register, they forgot that quality = return business. I guess that's why their name is Integy; it's Integrity without "RIT" in it.

HeartBreak hit the nail on the head with that one. everything you said was absolutely true. The one that closed had one guy that knew alot about savage 4.1 that is it. because he had one. He did not fly nor boat or race. but he sold you what he had available and would not get in a hurry to order the parts you really wanted.

OK so Integy cust. service sucks that is good to know, I have never owned any of there electrical componets which are from what was said, no good, but are there bulkheads and hub carriers ok?
