What's Better ?? HoBao or Mugen

whats better the hobao hyper 8.5 brca edition or the mugen mbx5r, the hyper costs £360 and comes with the hobao hyper .21 3 port race legal engine and pipe. The mbx6r costs £200 second hand with no engine pipe or radio.

Depends on what you are planning to do with it. If you are going to race...a Mugen is hard to beat as far as durability.

I'm into racing but i like the idea of having a new car, if i bought the mugen then i would buy the rb killer .21 engine is that a good engine ??

Only RB I have run is the WS7 III, and it's a great little engine, but it's allllll top end. Me? I went with a $200 Alpha Plus engine...and love it.

is the alpha plus the green headed alpha I've heared their good,

only trouble is m lhs doesent sell them, it only sells rb, novarossi,hpi,orion, mugen and go engines. what would you say the best make was out of them ??

the killer 9 is a very smooth mill, lots of mid to top. My engine, the JL .21 is a clone of the killer 9, just lower priced. It's a perfect engine for a buggy. The Orion and Novas are stronger. The Mugen .21 is good but is an overpriced O.S. 21 V-spec. Go engines is supposedly making better mills these days.
Do not buy a Hobao if you plan on racing. Mugen is way better.

cheers, getting the mugen next week but its second hand i dont know if it gunna have an engine or radio gear. its £300 so i dont think it will.:\
