I am trying to get a friend into the R/C hobby and was wondering what would be a good beginer MT or ST for him because i let him drive my Nitro Evader ST and he cliped a curb and ripped the whole rear end off it and i dont want to keep replacing the rear end. So could anyone help me help him?

Savage if a MT.....mt2 or a nitro Rustler if a ST....thats nitro,would he want ele?

yeah, get the savage if he is going to keep hitting curbs. but a revo would also be nice if he was new because i am sure he would like the easy start and the revo will hold up fine too.

yeah i have heard lots about the savage and the revo, i own a nitro on road car, but now i want to tear up some dirt and hit little small jump, not to big,,at least not yet...and iv been looking into the revo ( which I'm saving up for)a lot more than the savage ...so would any one else vouch for the revo to be a good choice?

yeah I've had two nitro sports and i think if you can tune them half decent
its all frosting after that

i say traxxas at least parts are cheap

I say a savage ss is a good beginner truck. It's a kit so as he is assembling it he is getting familiar with the truck. Plus it is quite strong so it will handle some abuse. Another plus is the price. Though you will need a radio and servos(you can get radio's for cheap), it only costs $319.99 at Towerhobbies.com compared to the 25's $400+ sticker and the Revo's $480+.

i'd say savage 25 RTR.

towerhobbies
SS = $289.99 with $30 off dsicount but needs servo's (2) and radio/reciever
25 RTR = $359.99 with $40 off discount
Revo = $429.99 with $40 off discount

savage 25 rtr
loads off hop ups to buy and they take so much bashing,only down side hard 2 work on if u are new 2 nitro trucks

I would say the Savage RTR, it is more money but it depends if you have extra radio/receiver and servo's for the SS. I have own the T-maxx, it was no fun if something broke as it seem that one have to take the truck half apart to get to the problem. I say this as I have look at the Revo and it seems to be kinda set up the same way. If you can go to your LHS, I say do that first to compare the trucks so you can decide which one he will like. The kits are nice but adventully one does have to take apart a RTR to fix, and aren't that hard to fugure out as there is a manual.
