There is literally no good bread for sale where I live, so all the plastic fluffy lightweight chunks without crust have today annoyed me enough to make my own for the first time
I didn't expect it to go that well at first.. the amount of sourdough starter was less then half of the recipe so I somehow calculated the rest of the ingredients in ratios.

It turned out small but perfect... the exact opposite of what I've described; high density, heavy (for its scale) with a seriously hard crust that's hard to cut through.

I just ate it myself at once LOL. I think I'll try it again tomorrow with much more sourdough starter if it grows by then.

There's a traditional windmill with a shop where I got my bread flour from. I'll try their flour meant for pizza this summer vacation as well.
