I've hear a lot of things that people have removed from there revos, or upgraded. What are some things that need to be removed? Ez-start, foward only kit, ect....????????? Thanks

wow... that's a pretty open ended question. it depends on what you want to do with your revo, seriously. the possibilities are endless as to how you can configure your truck. that being said... i, personally, believe there are a few must haves.
  • get a pull start... the EZ start eats up one way bearing like a fiend
  • remove the A-arms, and axle carriers... buy RPM parts.
  • remove one of the steering servos... well, both, and replace them with a single, high torque servo
  • a simple thing to add too... get some shock covers. it really helps keep your shocks functioning well. i'd recommend badhorsie.com

i could go on for the next half hour talking about the other upgrades and modifications i've done... but that will all be up to you, and what you want your truck to be. they start to take on a life of their own after a while... or something like that.

when i get around to it, i'll post up some pics of my revo to show you the possibilities, but use your own judgment. look around the sites that sell stuff (or your LHS) and see what you might like!

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0097p - search for 'revo' and have fun.

some other good companies that you can't find there are...
http://www.jdcarbon.com/carbon-fiber/turnbuckles/revo/
http://www.teknorc.com/

that'd be a good place to start, and i imagine that'll keep you busy for some time to come. keep us posted as your truck evolves!!

Add the full length Titanium Skidplate from Hardcore Racing. Also replace all of the other plastic skidplates with the Titanium parts from Hardcore Racing. Add the center differential and FOC with the rear brake to give better control.

Man thats an open question. On a revo you can remove everything if you wanted lol. But I think what your asking is what can you do to make it stonger lighter and faster. Pretty much what listed before. There are a few that are the big 3 as I like to call them, to remove excess weight and improve performance.
1. FOC
2. Pull start
3. Single stering servo conversion.
If you do those you will have a pretty solid truck that would take alot of beating and keep coming back for more. Then if you want to get into more depth and dig deeper into your pocketts you can do the rpm setup, get rid of the rx/tx boxes, which tekno makes a good lookin replacement. It all depends on how far you want to dig into your wallet and how much time you want to put into your rig.

if you're new... i really would stay away from the FoC... reverse is never a bad thing... lol.

thanks for the opinions

Where can i get the foc. I've done a little looking and havent been able to find it. Thanks again.

dont touch it tell somthing goes wrong just injoy your truck. more you mess with it as a nooby more will go wrong. just break in and play.

i made the mistake of changing stuff when i first got into the hobby and well it took me a very very long and spendy amount of time. to get stuff working right again.

but if you really wanna upgrade then
1 foc
2 arms x carriers yes rps life time warenty
3 pullstart

then just trick out your truck in full tekno stuff.
