I would rebuild it completely, in sections, of course.

If it doesn't already have it done, upgrade the diffs with the four-gear conversion ($10 a diff, need two, part number 87193).

Also, the Cam-type servo saver assembly is a must. It improves the steering by a bunch.

Of course, inspect for damaged/bent pins and screws, replacing as needed. Check for bent driveshafts, shock shafts, and the like.

What you do now, will save you headaches later.

The fuel you have should run in it just fine. However, I'd recommend two or three tanks of running slightly rich, on the easy side, just to be safe. It's always a good idea to do this whenever changing fuels.

The OS A3 plug should work just fine, however the engine will also run on the cheaper Mccoy MC59.

^Agreed

Getting a screw kit might be a good idea. When I did mine, I couldnt believe how many screws were missing only after 1/2 gallon. I went with the Racers Edge set, and so far so good. (I got the screw set from RushRc for like $20)

ok i got it runs like a dream really tough

I'm gunna get a hump pack failsafe and a temp gun

what ones do u suggest ?

personally i like the dynamite failsafes...as for hump packs, any decent 5 cell will do. just make sure u get nimh cells, 1400 or higher, lastly temp guns that all depends on your budget. they range from 20 bucks to 100 bucks...i have the duratrax one and it works fine.

ok ill follow advice givin

only issue i got at the moment is the steering it handles like ass

nothing wrong with it

just the hump pack should make steering responce better right ??

oooo and i love the exhaust really loud (stock)

done my first jump today landed nice went about 5ft in the air yeee haww

these things take a beating and keep on rolling.

here is a hump pack for you. I got one for my maxx but it fits on the savage

for the failsafes i would suggest an ofna micro one. They are about the size of a dime so not much space is taken up... and for the steering try getting a servo w/ higher torque and getting the bearing upgrade for the steering shafts and the cam-type servo saver :fro:
