I've gone through 22 broken gas tanks this past month lol. Is the gas tank cheap plastic they keep on cracking on me lol. Out of everything to finally break on me its my gas tanks. Anyone else have this happen.?

Thats not normal, at all. I dont know what rig, but where the gas tank sits, is it pressed up against something that could take a blow and break your tank? Are the breaks always in the same spot?

Take a piece of lexan and make a deflector. A long piece screwed in by the trans, that bends on the tank and hangs a little low should keep debris from hitting it.

Ok guys sorry I meant 2! Not 22already haha! I'm on my android phone so I make a typing error sometimes but even 2 is alot in one month

cut ya some small pieces of fuel line and slide over tank mounting posts so you get a good tight fit. also you may try putting some velcro, not the hook side, but the other side that the hookcatches. to the backside bottom of the tank for a bit of cusion where it rubs the frame

I have added some adheisive rubber foam stripping to my frame to cushion the tank but not too thick to push the inside top of tank into the heatsink.
The fuel line trick on tank mounting posts is a good idea too so will do that as well seeing the small rubber o rings currently there are sad and tired. btw havent busted a tank yet and have had my cars for nearly 6 months now and run them at least every couple days ..good luck!

I've punched holes in savage tanks with the shock tower. make sure the side the tank is on, has the shock screw with the threaded part to the rear. On a hard tail landing that tower will bend and that screw sticking out will punch a hole in the tank.
