Ok After I posted all the nice pics of my project .26 and was so excited to go and run it. Finally I get a day that I can take it out and open it up. Fires up second pull on the pull start (yeah) I let it sit and rev for a min. then I give it the throttle and it tears off in reverse? I know what your thinking I had the switch on my controller turned but you would be wrong. My truck is a forward only conversion? The only things that I have messed with on the truck since I ran it last (forward) were the A arms any advice on this one would be tremendous help guys.

I believe the only thing it can be is both of your diffs are in upside down. With a FOC on a maxx, the spur spins freely in "reverse" rotation, but is instantly engaged in forward "normal" rotation. I've had pullstart engines start in the wrong direction due to a worn OWB and a backfire. That's why the explanation is relevant. I 99% sure that if you had this issue, it would just rev and spin the spur and the truck wouldn't move. It would also more than likely have a completely different exhaust note. Mine did both times it happened.

If you put both diffs in it upside down in respect to their correct orientation, the truck will run in reverse. I did it once... ran my t-maxx right up my leg.

Nice......sounds like a problem i had once...what is happening most likely you have too hot of a glow plug so the engine is firing before it get to TDC and pushing the piston back down.....so the engine is running backwards. Try a cooler plug. Yeah but failed to look what vehicle it is....so nevermind I am giving you worthless info...but in the future.....

Hey olds, ran right up my leg too. Was trying to show off for my girl on how I can take something apart and put it back together and make it run better..... Boy did I F that up HaHa! Ok so If I got my diffs in upside down on both the front and the back it will go in reverse?

Yep. Like I said, I did that once. Then I got just one of the upside down once. The truck wouldn't even roll. I didn't notice it until I went outside to bash. Fired it up, hit the gas, the engine rev'd and made smoke, the truck just sat there... then I lifted it up and touched the gas to see if I could tell anything and wouldn't you know it!?!? The fronts were spinning backwards and rears were spinning forwards...

That was one of those times when having printed parts explosions on your workbench are worth having around.

HA HA Kind of like your truck was having a pushing match against itself huh? Or a tug-o-war. Hey thanks for the help. should have it back on the road (dirt) 2 Moro.

And just for future info the E Maxx is just the opposite of the T Maxx should you ever pick one up. I've got both so I have to be careful..

Only one better...(sorry to one up) I pulled the front diff on my ride and serviced it....put it back in backwards.....sooooo any who rear wheels going forward, front wheels going backward....comical yes. Bad on driveline...yes....will I ever do that again....um maybe not but at least I was the only one around to see my stupid oopsy.
