what should be my first upgrade?

I just bought a used T-Maxx, although it looks like it only had 3-4 tanks through it. I would like to keep the weight down so I was looking at the following parts:

Obviously rpm arms as the stock ones break.

Sorry if I'm hyjacking, figured it was easier to ask in here than start a new thread.
 
I would invest in a new set of aluminum bulkheads. Those parts are all good, but the bulkheads are the foundation of the whole truck.
 
^^I would have to agree....The RPM skids are great, and lunsford pins would be a good investment, but the plastic bulks are a weak point. Golden Horizon makes good quality aluminum, pick up a set of the front and rear bulkheads first and maybe even the GH chassis braces, and then work on the rest of the things that you listed. Strengthen the "Core" first. I went bulks, chassis braces and then towers in that order (all of my aluminum is from Gollden Horizon). Once I had those pieces in place, I went to RPM skids, arms etc, etc.
 
Yup, Havn't had any problems yet. Couldn't hurt to upgrade to aluminum though, but I dont feel as though it is necessary. I think GH has the alum diffs for $30 each.
 
Like most here here I went aluminum down the middle: bilks, braces,and also skids. RPM3 piece skids dont make the final connectionbetween the bulks and the chassis braces. IMO the point where the bulks attach to the chassis plate can still be a weak point. By using aluminum skids (which tend to longer) thay make a through and through structure from front bulk to rear bulk. Twice I have had the bulk to chassis plates screws shear off at the screw head. Of course high speed frontal impacts are always disatorous. :whhooo:
