there are lots on the market but what is any good! I see the team blue star in std length and 115mm but can't find anyone to say if there good or not, the integy piggy backs seem to get mixed reports (blowing seals and bending shaft) plus expensive but look good, the cheap piggy backs that are on ebay agian look good but i have heard reports on them being made of soft alloy that goes out of shape and problems with blowing seals.
Any recommendations or opinions appreciated!
THANKS

Traxxas BigBores.I run them, they are ok so far but a little soft, i would recommend them with stiffer springs.

I have been running the Dynamite/Losi T-maxx shocks for years on my Maxx, and they are great. I also used RPM dual stage pistons which helped handling tremendously, and trinity blue springs on all 8. I love this set up.

thanks guys, sound like the traxxis big bores are the shocker of choice!!

I just bought some team bluestar standard length shocks and with only a few runs, these things are very smooth and the handling is great!

I will report back as I get more time on them with compliments/concerns... but they were a good set of shocks for $50.. figured I coudln't go wrong :)

i run big bores with heaver spring the stock ones suck. i also run on my new tmaxx UE super shocks with UE knuckelhead shock towers onley have to run 4 shocks whit this set up.

UE shocks are some of the best out there! Just too much $$$ for me.. .but definately, if I could have, I would have!

well if you can find them, I say get them, definately! Otherwise, team bluestar or traxxas big bores w/springs will be good also :)

i heard the bluestars were pretty much crap. haven't personally used them on any vehicle, but from my research, they're just not up to par.

try billytrucks123 on ebay he just had some UE super shoks for sale.

He sure did -- I was watching those puppies :)

and, as for the bluestars being crap.. i guess we'll see - am pretty much stuck with them now, but are definately a HUGE improvement over the stock shocks..

well, I wanted to update what i've found about bluestar shocks... so far -- they've been not so great..

have already bent one shaft and ripped it out of the shock end.. was a freak accident, but they do'nt seem to perform as well as hoped...

I have some aluminum Threaded shocks i got with a parts lot and i run stiffer springs they work great but i like thoes big bore also i had em till i got my new ones. Also a lil trick i learned cut a lil chunk of ur gas line about 1/4 inch and put it on ur shock shaft, if u bash it hard like i do it wont bottem out as hard

Bashin for life

The UE shocks are definitely the way to go. If you can still get ahold of them, the Pro Line Powerstrokes were nice too.

I have found some of those ProLine shocks.. very cool and interesting! I was thinking about those, but am seriously looking at the Losi 8(T) shocks.. I like the idea of 4 instead of 8!

is it right that you have to use 4 x losi8 rear shocks at 110mm length, I would be interseted to hear how you go and how the truck handles!
