What servo?

i am in need of a good steering servo for racing. it is going in my mayhem. which one should i get?and no hitec 645 or jrz590 looking for something good.

I run a Futaba S9350 in my mbx-5 and it rocks... But the 358 is awesome aswell.

Most People i know run the 358. Dont skip out on servos or radio. they are nice to have and a mayhem can get the job done with a nice set of servos engine and set up :-D

I have the 358 in my S3 as well as my MGT and Maxx. Getting ready to put one in my Revo.

I also vote for the 94358Z, it is a very nice servo. Never had one fail me yet and I have them in three vehicles as both steering and brake servos.

Speed that hitec has alot of torque but it's a lil slow (.15 @ 6VDC)
general rule of thumb for servos (as per my specs).....steering at least 150oz(very minimum) and .13 to .1 @ 6VDC...throttle 120oz and .1sec (or faster) @ 6VDC...keep in mind the steering doesn't NEED super fast but the throttle does.....

Okay...it went on about how good the new Hitec servos are and then they talk about the current draw being very high, possibly casing premature failure? but the part about using a separate battery for the servo is just too much.......the speed listed in your link was .15...that's about as slow as I want mine to be....whether they are right on or fudged like HP claims from mill mnfgrs is a bitch...I do rely on those specs to make choices....I've had some bad ones before I found what I like.....possibly bad choice based on bad numbers???

.....I just listed MY specs...that's what I go by when I look at servos...if you have a good radio you can get faster servos and change characteristics of how the y move from teh radio settings......I don't mess w/ any of the expo settings so I look for what is in the spec range I like...the guys on UE forum are all about getting the BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST, SIR! and for them that's fine.....the airtronics seemed alil fast for me when I looked at the spec so I went w/ the JR and Futaba combo...I had the really fast (.08 sec) hitec servos and had nothing but problems....and when I did make them work I didn't like the response time.......I'll never buy another Hitec Digital servo again....they just don't last it seems......but I've had good luck w/ their analogs....Go figure....

The only reason I stray from digital servos is their current draw. If it is a deal I may go for them but other than that I agree that analog Hitec servos work fine for me.

I used a 94358, liked it. Then switched to a Ko-Propo 2344 digital. Big difference! Another thing wiht the Ko, istead of replacing the whole gear set when that one plastic gear fails (it will eventually), the ko you can just buy that one plastic gear instead of the whole set.
