Well I got an rs4 3 for xmas and the car wont start unless I try to do it for ever! I mean like in the mornings I try to start it for almost 20 to 15 mins it wont start! When the car starts and the engine is all warm its easy to start the next time but when it hasnt been started and the engine cools down its almost impossible to start please someone help me I dont know what to do. and also how can you find out if your brakes arent dragging? The manuel says if you can push the car atleast 5 feet but when I make sharp turns I can hear the brakes screech. DO I need to ajust them? sry for all the questions but I dont know anything about rcs I'm trying to learn

Spyderpact you should honestly set all of the needles on the carburator back to stock settings. Refer to the manual for instructions. It should tell you how many turns out that you should be setting the needles to. As far as your starting woes, it sounds like the engine head is too cold. You may try using a hair dryer on it to warm up the engine head for about five minutes before you try to start. Also is it getting fuel?? Have you checked your glow plug??Here is a list of great articles that helped me out a bunch. You may seriously want to do some reading before you run your car again. Later

I pulled my pull start. So now the coil is streched I had to go to my lhs to get it fixed plus the scres were fixed so i paid 34 bux with pullstart and installation. oh well at least now it ill work I think its my glowplug.

Same thing happened to me when I first got mine. I had to hold my exhaust shut pull the pull start 1 or 2 timeas, get fuel to engine, then it would run. Try the hair drer it always seems to work better.

if I'm correct the rs4's all have primer's on the tank, are you sure you are priming the gas? all it takes is like 4 pushees on the primer. jsut checking.

ya i prime it its just my glow starter it uses up the size d battries fast I've been through 3 already and I've only been useing it for like 2 days for now thats all i can use I'm gonna get a new one

all hpi engines before they are fully broke-in are tempermental, throw a new glowplug in it reset to factory settings and go at it,the agany of break-in seems to be a small price to pay after you get it tweeked out! :dancin:

I say break it in again as well. Can't hurt since you probably changed fuels from what the previous owner used. Newayz good luck

i got a new glow starter yay! that was the problem BUT.... now I got 1 last problem ..... when I picked my car up today I asked the guy why was my brake draggin I said my front brakes he said there shouldnt be front brakes cuz its only the back, then he spun the back wheels and then the front he said theres a problem with my front because when he spun one of the back wheels the one on the other side turned the oppsite way but when he spun the front it spun the same way as either side he said it's probaly cuz theres too many shims or something I tryed to take the front end out but I got confused, any one know the problem or how to take off the front end?

poop don't mess with it, this is how the RS43 comes. It has a limited slip front one way in it. If that isn't the correct terminology than sue me but I know my RS43. Don't mess with it. That is totally how it's supposed to be. Dude Reference this page of the kit instruction manual.

Yes spyder the difference here is if you look at the link I provided earlier is that there is a spring that go's between the gears up front and not in the rear. It should be this way. It provides for better cornering.

Newnitrofan is absolutely correct. Leave it alone. That is the setup for racing. As for the glow starter, get the Hpi rechargable that comes with a low indicator meter on it. It's worth the money.

Team 17 thank you so much for making me think I am not crazy here. Spyder you and I virtually have the same car. There are only a couple of differences, mine I had to put together and came with a two speed tranny. Yours out of the box most likely was ready to run. Either which way most of your questions I can answer since I've done most everything to my car and have a crap load of hop uos for it so I can answer those questions too.

cool thanks oh ya its been eaiser to start since i got a new glow starter now shure wich one but its the oarnge one with a meter on it so now its been preety good just my steering is a little wobbly i think its my battries on my car ill change em ok well thanks ill tell u how it goes I'm gonna run a few tanks today!
