What's the L-shaped plastic piece called, HPI #85058(4). I want a replacement, I'm just about as far as rcaddic, on my basher project. Hoping for black aluminum, or blue.

Also I'm trying to use one of these for the throttle/brake servo, but I'm not sure how to connect them?

Found them here:

Not black, but blue.

L-shaped thingie

I was thinking something like this!

Don't know who's build this is just came up on an image search when I typed in FLM savage

I wanna add 6" to a savage build, do you guys know of any custom TVP fabricators. I've seen 8" extended TVPs but that's a lil much for what I'm after

He's never ran this truck, imo that truck is nice and shiny but that will not hold up to much abuse.
What a waste to build a truck like that and never run it. I can't believe it!

FLM, or Fast Lane Machine makes the longest stretch out there. Real quality stuff.

I don't think anyone makes a stretch at 6 or 8 inches. This one is about 2 or 3. Any longer and I'd have trouble making it into the kitchen.

Ya I wanna use an FG body, or even a redcat MT body........I know, I know, who the hell builds around a lexan body......crazy stuff right,.....I'll just crawl back into my padded room.

Ya I grabbed the whole savage FLM package too....I'm trying to find some one to anodize it in dark red, and black. If I could get the extra 6" added to the back then that's where I could mount alloy receiver box, by adding a 4" plate behind engine...wonder if I beg R/C-monster and flash some sir Roberts I can have what I'm after.

I've got 2 other savages I'm working on. One is the twin motor electric and the other is the brushless conversion. I already have the SC truck body for one of them.

It did come with a link, the guy wrote that the turnbuckle was to reinforce the shock tower (think steering rod connected to the shock tower & TVP t each corner), I believe he was running a single shock set up....I'm also going to incorporate this idea into my build. He had stock towers.

Can't remember the link off hand but Dream Machines savage blackout project is also there, there's enough reading about the blackout project to make you appreciate the work that went into it.

Oh, I see. Makes sense. I used one similarly on my revo's rear body mount and on my OFNA buggy.

My X has thicker towers than older savages to handle the use of 4 shocks.

Hey Rolex does having that longer tube help with the available air for the fuel/air mixture? Or is the air just cooler and cleaner coming from the front!

I forgot to mention kershawdesings & ALZA Racing offer/offered an 8" extension

For kershawdesings they call it the 5T conversion kit
For ALZA he offers an 8" electric kit, and is in R/D for the 8" nitro version......I always wondered if the mods read the PMs

Seems like the ideal place to mount a giant fuel cell, or some rather large batteries?

---------- Post added at 1:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:59 PM ----------

The FG body I wanna use has an 19-20" wheelbase....well that's all the play room anyway

Still trying to find the wheelbase for the redcat 1/5 MT(rampage?)

I also came across a person mounting gassers to savages....thing is he wanted more than a 5B costs at a HS, essentially it's a different truck that uses savage bulks/a-arms/towers/diffs.....he was using the redcat rampage MT body.

Ok I didn't notice until I started looking closely at the other FLM TVPs around here....but I believe I have 2 left sides on my LCG FLM TVPs...?....not sure if it matters yet since there's no motor in it.

Got a stock picco .28 mounted just for looks on the FLM savage, now I have a question when building linkages how much should the carb open. I know the idle gap should be around 1mm-lil less, when brakes are applied but how far should the carb slider open under WOT?

Cheeky son of a gun!, thanks I just wasn't sure, custom building linkages is time consuming, also I've run out of parts, until I cruise to Edmonton.

Alexander_0_1, here is a pic of how i did my linkage on my Savage right before i sold it. Nothing really original about just modified some of the ones i saw on the web. However once i adjusted the linkage to where i wanted it, i could make the truck do Endows...and my carb opened all the way till it hit the fuel tank...
