what is the difference between Serpent 950 and 950R ?

There's not much difference in the 2. So if you find a much better deal on the 950 than you do on the 950R go with the 950.
Changes in the 950R:
-Laydown throttle servo.
-The chassis is a little bit lighter, and it's got some vent holes in the bottom to direct airflow to the engine's crankcase.
-More roll center settings.
-It comes with an adjustable front belt tensioner.

I think that's about it. Unless you're a super-hardcore-diehard-racer, they're pretty much the same car.

Gil, You left out a very important thing. The regular 950 does not have an R after the name. Its just fun to say, "I've got a 950R" See that makes other who dont know anything of the hobby think your cool, lol.

I found:
Serpent 950 : 470 US$
Serpent 950R: 635 US$

These are brand new... and I think the 950 is just on sale to finish the stock... so I think I'll jump on it.
I want a good On-Road car to use my .21 engine... but I'm not good enough to do competition yet... so 950 will be great enough.

Thanks for the response... ! :p:

Yeah man no problem. Like I said, there's really not much difference in the 2, and IMO it's not worth $165 unless you just really need that extra tiny edge.
It is cool to say the R at the end though LOL.
