I'm new to this and took out my XTM yesterday and ran it in some dirt. I cleaned most of it up but could not get the harder places. Can i use the "dust off" air? Or do they make something that works better. Is their a good brush?

Thanks:D

You can do that, a decent air compressor also works. For the dirt you can reach, a worn out tooth brush works great for that.

Cool,

Thanks i didn't know if that air stuff was ok for it or not.

LOL i don't think so (for those who are married)

canned air gets really expensive. I just bought a tiny air compressor and it works great. just dont blow stuff into your eyes.

complete dis-assembly, clean then reassemble. The denatured alcohol is good for quick cleaning. But IMO, there comes a time when it must be taking completely apart.

Yup, that's the only way to get it completely clean. I used to think mine was pretty clean until I took it apart and almost fainted.

Hmm... was just wondering, would it be ok to use one of those things where you put a liquid in it and the air nozzle blows it out at high pressure, kinda like a high pressure paint gun? Take one of those and put some DA in it and that will blast even the stubborn dirt out.

Well we all know Rolex will never have that problem with any of his rigs, unless he forgets to dust, LOL!!!!:D:hehe::D
