I am looking to by another ride but I want a shaft driven ride. I am told that belt driven ones get messed up in parking lots and public places that are smooth. They say that the belts get messed up with pebbles getting in between the belt and gear. I have a rtr 3 with the type ss 2 speed. but I have been told to get another ride because mine just sucks A$$. Help me please. I looked at the OFNA LD3 and even the Mugen Seiki MSX-3.

Give the NTC3 a look. It is a very nice touring car and if you plan on getting into the racing scene this car has a proven track record.

Hmm, Shaft drive. Buggies are the best shaft drive, well any drive car out there

the ofna ld3 is a total rip off of the ntc3!!

This is one of those questions that really doesn't need to be asked.

Most winningest touring car ever - NTC3
Oldest manufacturers touring car - NTC3
First to mass produce shaft drive - NTC3
Best handling, best built touring car - NTC3

hmmmmm

I would say the NTC3 is a good kit. I have the HPI RS4 3 Type SS (another shaft driven) and I hopped the hell out it and I still want a NTC3. I'd get the the build kit of the NTC3 because of the two speed, I believe the RTR version is single speed. But then the build kit for the NTC3 doesn't have an engine.

As for the LD3, it looks good. I don't know if it can go 50mph. In fact, I've never seen it around where I bash. OFNA's ready to rip kit doesn't have the two speed and to get that is another 70 bucks. I was kinda of turned off by the LD3 when I went to the RCX. The OFNA sales rep claimed the LD3 could "do 70 [mph] easy" to a guy who was way too green about touring cars.
