RC Driving Style
After running my truck, I would turn it sideways and a brown oily substance oozs out of the exaust. What does that mean and is it normal?

You're running rich. That's the lubrication and unburned fuel. Get a temp gauge and tune her correctly
 
if you can't get a temp gauge, just remember water boils at 212, thats just at the low end of the spectrum for proper temps. lean it out some since you know you're rich. try like 1/4 turn (cw) then run it for a while and drip some water on it or even spit on it and see if it boils off.youll get a feel for how fast it boils off compared to the temp, 212 will barely make it boil so itll just sizzle slow. 250 or 270 will make it boil faster
