What is a good engine mount

I think we've established that the engine mounts are weak. Here's the traxxass upgrade which is made from machined alum rather than cast alum and will be quite a bit stronger than the stock mount. Look at it this way, you can pay 3 times the cost for a stock mount now or buy 3 stock mounts and wait for them to break.

Yeah, I would check out the Integy mount. I sport it myself on the Maxx. It's held up good so far, & the price is not bad ($18) or sometime's cheaper on ebay. They also have silver if you don't like the blue.

the stock one!
i have only replaced it twice and it is cheap! (11$)

The stock one cost me a race when it broke and shifted the engine enough to chew up the spur gear. Got the aluminum one from Traxxas and all si well so far.

The HCR engine mount is awsome very durable i got this one after i trashed 2 stock mounts and a integy that i trashed the first run out with it (will never buy integy stuff again I'm not satisfied with the integy bulks either) and I've had the HCR one on for prob about a gallon and is holding up very well.

The integy one's screw holes are sloppy. I don't know what kind of tap they use, but it's not real tight specs.

As for the traxxas milled one, I stripped 3 out of the 4 top holes installing it and 1 out of the 4 bottom. I swear to god I wasn't horsing it.

New era has a nice beefy one that isn't bad for price. New Era Engine Mount

I'd also like to suggest getting thier 3-point roll bar. It is a part saver. Roll Bar
