Hi,

Just wonderin, u porbably know this, but i broke my pull start and my LHS order both the pull start and the eletric start (which replaces the pull start). Which one should i get? Which is better?

the rotostart will surely be easier on your hands. it is, however, known to be hard on one-way bearings. the rotostart is another thing you have to pack around. it also runs on batteries so it's another thing that has to be charged.

there are pros and cons. if it were me, i think i'd stick with the pull start. the rotostart does have some bling bling value to it though. :bling:

If the engine starts easily and you body doesn't prevent you from getting to it, then the pull start might be the better way to go. On the other hand. if you grequently have problems getting the engine started or it gets excess fuel then the roto start shines. It's a trade-off, do you mind charging starter packs and carrying the starter or would you rather just pull the cord? I have the roto start on my savage but a pull start on my NRS4-3SS. The Savage isn't real cooperative most of the time and the on-road car starts just about every time on one or two pulls of the cord. I did destroy one bearing but that was not the starters fault, the screws came loose and I did not notice until it was too late.

Hi,

I dont really mine carry it around and charging, how long battery last in the Rotostart? Since i knew to this, i dont even know what or where the 1 way bearing is, so where is it located? How i tighten?

i had the roto start and didnt like it. it depends on which battery you have, if you have one from like taget or toysrus thenit will las you about maybe 3-4 starts fully charged (thats how long mine lasted) but they got liek $90 batteries and that will prolly last about a whole day. i personally like the pull start better but its up to you

sorry bout the spelling i was trying to type fast

hi,

What a good battery brand that will last ages, that i can get in Australia? Also where are the 1 way bearings? why do u like the pull start over the rotostart? Does it hurt the engine?

Cyber Phreak

i dont know a good brand of batteries but my rotostart last bout a week of full starting

Hi,

What brand are yours, What volts etc? Also can someone take a picture of the 1 way bearings because i getting a Rotostart and i need to knwo what to tighten :dumb:

The oneway bearing is what the starter turns to start your car... when they turn a certain direction they catch on the starter shaft and will not catch in the other...

and you can't tighten them you need to replace them if they go bad........
