Hi, I'm new to this site...

I'm looking into buying a new exhaust for my T-Maxx 2.5, and I was wondering as to which one to buy. Rear exhaust or Side. What are some good High Performance exhausts for the 2.5? I heard about the Tsais on this site, but I wasn't sure if i could make something to fit their exhaust... or if it would work!

Any help would be apprectiated, thanks!

Check out the MIP exhaust stinger kits. They have both side or rear types for the T-maxx.

:puke: whatever you do don't get a ace racing 2.5 outlaw pipe. i searched around looking for the best pipe, thought i found it. after i got it on and ran it:doh: it was not what they had said. suprise, suprise. it absolutely covers your rear tire with oil making it slip like you would not believe, no matter how much you lean it up, and i can't find a deflector to fit the damn thing because it is so big. it is loud as hell though, if that impresses you any, but the power gain is little to none. so now i'm in the market for a new pipe as well. what is this tsais pipe i'm hearing about? i hear alot of people talking about it, maybe it's something worth checking out. someone let me know where i can see one of these please.

I have an old fax somewhere informing that MIP's Stinger exhaust will not fit the T Maxx 2.5

The only exhaust MIP sells as a stinger is the 360* rear outlet stinger kits. The side exhaust pipes have no special name other then tuned.

Sup Nate,

Their's allot of pipes out now for the TRX 2.5 but they can get very expensive for the often subtle power increase they offer. On my buddies trucks I've run the Fantom racing pipe made for the Fantom .18 drop-in T-maxx engine. It added some top end and looked pertty (HEHE) but not for $75. I also didn't like the way it sounded with the metal pipe, it was a different pitch that was almost muffeled some. I've driven a buddies Maxx before and after with a 2.5 with the newere Dynamaite pipe and it sounded good and added some mid and top end.

IME now the best pipe for some added low and especially mid and high end power with the 2.5 is the Sirio pipe. You can get the Sirio pipe form a RC seller on E-bay for $30+6s/h with "buy it now". THe 2.5 as you may know is a well ported and worked .15 and the Sirio pipe is made for the .18 but it works well.''

WHatever pipe you choose, just stay the hell away from many of the rediculous exhaust pipes on the market like the rear exits made out of brass. They usually weigh a ton and the power or lack their-of added doesn't compensate for the weight. They also don't usually have the proper back-pressure.

Peace

I have read good reviews of the RD Logics High performance one piece curved pipe set for Traxxas Tmaxx. It costs about $70.00. I am debating with myself whether to get this pipe or the Fantom pipe since I want to apgrade to a Fantom .18 in about 4 months.

The other benifit of the RD Logics pipe is the bottom exhaust exit. No slippery tire!

Hey look at the Ritter Cycle racing pipes. You cam find them at Stormer Hobbies. My friend had one on his T-maxx, and it was carbon fiber. They also make one that is aluminum too. But, I have to say it was a sweet pipe, gave him ample power gain. Ritter cycles originally make pipes for the two stroke dirtbikes. They know what they are doing! Take a look!

get a CVEC pipe, there are awesome, but i dont know if there is one for the 2.5, you may have to search around to find a header for it

Thanks everyone for the info. I've been gone for a while and just got back... thanks for everything, i'll be looking into it!:breakdown

i am w/ 30% on this one i install the sirio pipe on my 2.5 and there is a def increase in power. Not sure if you have one but i would also get an aftermarket air cleaner so the motor can breath better i have a motor saver filter works great.

sup guys, lol, well i have always seen all of these exhaust pipes on ebay that they claim makes u go faster, be louder, and get a way faster start:contract: . so, i went and got one of them ace .21 outlaw pipes, i know for a fact it will probably not work to great, but i have always wanted to see what they actually work like. buy the way this is going on my XTM 24.7 that already is fast and has hella torque.

Whatever you do, stay away from the rear dual exhaust! You loose power due to the exhaust being too wide open and it always floods!

if you don't want fule to get all over you car then i sagest a rear exhaust pipe.

i got the ace .21 outlaw pipe in today. man does that badboy sound crazy. it seems to be about the same power and everything that my .21 xtm pipe was, just alot louder and kooler sounding. i might just stay with it.

Thanks, here again i've been gone... too much homework:nono:
when i was new to nitro R/C i bought one of the Quad Exhausts, and i realized that it was a bad move. it didn't have enough back pressure, so i couldn't tune the engine right.

thanks everyone for your input, i'll be researching all of your suggestions soon:worship:
