Well I've only used this engine a handfull of times now only about 10 tanks through it and the silicone manifols seal blew out and leaking fuel on the one way so it was slipping. So i tok the mill out and cleaned the one-way and noticed some oil/wetness on the carb and though i might have a leak in the carb so i took the carb off submerged it in some water and blew into a fuel line and one i blew hard enough this acted as a blowoff valve it woul just release the pressure. So when exactlly do this come and handy and do its job and what does it do to tunability and what not? And also could this be a weak spot for a leak to eventually occur?

If you have a digicam, take a pic. It would probably also help if you posted what engine with what model of carb your talking about.

I've only dealt with like 10 engines and I haven't a clue as to what your talking about.

Oh, yeah, didn't look at the page source to see what was going on... If you take your link for the pick and put it in the address bar, you get this:

I have that hole too in my orion wasp .18.

I think it's more of a blow through for the accordion seal that's behind it. I think it's actually a dust boot. That way, it allows minumal dust in, but allows the air to escape when opening and closing the throttle. I know on my OS 21 RG and my Omega 21 Comp, neither of them have the hole and you can hear the air leak out when you work the throttle by hand when it isn't running.

I think the air you saw is the air that leaks out around the throttle barrol. When you have fuel running through it, I would guess that the gap is small enough between the throttle barrol and the hole it slides in, that the fuel would make a good enough seal.

Man, that was a run on sentence!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I cannot see any other reason for the hole in his or my engine.
