What Engine To Get??

I have a hpi nitro 3 it has a hpi .12 evoII, 2 speed, full cvds, heavy duty diffs,upgraded gears it is pretty damn fast and i think it is time for a new motor. I dont really go to the track that much i usually set up a track at a office buildiing to race but i usually just staight line race and i need a more powerful engine i was think about getting the novarossi ns12s3 or the ns12s5. Does anyone have any reviews on these engines and i will take any other recondemations. And does anyone have any exprience with one these engines in a hpi nitro 3??

Have you considered the Mugen line? Slide carb .12. Less expensive and made by the same people. Just a suggestion.

BTW, the Mugen in my NTC3 is FAST AS HELL! And reliable as can be! Not to mention, was a snap to tune!

HPI Nitro 3???? I am a HPI person myself... but I never heard of the Nitro 3 or even a HPI .12 evoII engine??? Only HPI i know that has the "EVO" are the new RTR 3 Evo and it comes with a the new T-15 engine... in the .12 division there are the 12R XS, 12R SC, and 12R SS...

It is the a nitro 3, rtr 3, type SS its all the same name nand the engine is aftermarket the engine was limited edition from hpi it was made my novarossi.

ic... okay... well I have the RS4 3ss and I just changed my motor to the Fantom 15... major difference... I didn't buy the motor it came with a Super Nitro RS4 i got from ebay... i was thinking of the Nova Rossi line too but i think it would be pretty expensive for not competiting

my friend had the fantom and i dont wanna go .15 but he just got a sirio .12 outlaw in his shumacher r12 and what .12 is the best to get u think and i looking to spend $225 and under.

yeah I might go back to a .12 size... I was just seeing how it would be... for some odd reason I still like the 12Rss i had on it

if not I might go crazy again and put another .26 engine on these small cars

Love my MT12. Reliable and lasts if it's tuned properly. I'm a big Novarossi fan, so I would probably say the Novarossi NS12S5.. Looking around 43,000 rpms and 1.6hp.. I haven't tried a turbo engine, so I'm just wondering what difference being turbo would be.
