holy cow 5 tanks of that looks like I'm gonna need some readin material y it sits there and runs. Now after i get done doing that do a normal break in like not let it over 1/4 throttle for a couple tanks the half throttle for a couple tanks then i can open it up?

since youve installed the sirio all ready what way do i turn the carb say I'm looking straight on at the carb

I can't really say it all depends on how your linkage is feeling ,if it feels like it is binding a little ,turn it a little one way or the other till the binding stops , just send me your truck and I will do it for ya :jk: :jk: :boxing:

it would be cool if you lived right down the street id come over with my truck and the engine and beg you to put it in but i think its best if i do it trial and error is the best learning tool but i think i can figure it out by the sounds of it if it dont work one way try another i dont think i can mess anything up the main one that concerns me is moving the carb is it gonna mess the carb up any or is it like a car or motor cycle you take it off with bolts and bolt it back on when your done fixing it or what ever and nothing messes it up.

you really wont be taking it off , all you want to do is loosen it up

cool i think i got the installation down anything else i should do like change clutch bell teeth number and spur gear teeth number?

go with the stock for now , and see how you like it , you can always upgrade after

cool just gotta wait for tax returns i did mine by mail so give it 6-8 weeks lol its been 3 weeks already wa hoo anyway how durable would you say the sirio is I'm not gonna have to replace the piston and sleave every 3 gallons of fuel am i?

not to sure on that one man , I think I ran about a gallon through mine before I switched to the wasp .26 , one thing I have read on the sirio is sometimes the head bolts come loose , just keep an eye on and check them every once in a while

cool thanks youve been a big help freez but now my friend needs some help hes gonna throw in the wasp .26 but he wants to keep the pull start he dont race or nothing just bashes around and stuff so a starter box isnt a big deal really any suggestions for him?

i am sorry I am not to sure on that one , i have heard that the pull start doesn't clear the a-arms , but dont quote me on that , new era models has a-arms for this application but last I heard they werent very good ,they liked to break , try asking on the traxxas forum ,there a few guys there that run the .26 also . sorry

It has been no problem at all helping , any other questions dont be affraid to ask , you can find me here , I am also on quite a few other sites also as freez

Hey Freez, just out curiosity why did you switch from the sirio to the wasp so quick?

i didnt have the patiance on tuning it.
I had baught the qoncepts kit really at first just for the header set up,to use with the sirio , so I ended up having the kit and no more patiance with the sirio. The qoncepts kit did give me the ability to upgrade my clutch and clutchbell to 1/8 scale ,the motor sits lower ,spur gear and clutch bell mesh better, buggy style motormount, i got rid of the dreaded ez start , didnt like the way it sat on the side of the motor, looks a little cleaner without it ,you can actually take the motor out in seconds.
all in all I have seen what the sirio can do , it is a crazy engine , it screams
I have become better at tuning and I know I could get the sirio running sweet, i have everything to pop her back in ,just having sooooooooo much fun with the wasp ,when it dies , i will definatly go sirio

I got tired of constantly messin with my 2.5 so I dropped the .18 tm in. I barely got through break-in before it got dark, but definitly a lot more power. Hav'nt had a chance to play anymore, now its 20 degrees & snow :hammer: Let me guess DJ, its 80 &sunny there? LOL :hehe: :hehe:

thanks freez!!!!! help me a load still havent made up my mind between sirio and wasp yet though:(
