Hey guys

SO i have been bashing my savage 3.5 around in some quite tough ground. it has taken a lot of punishment so far, had to replace wheels after trashing the rims of the first set, moved to 17ss now

had to replace wheel and steering hubs broke last few.
what else should i think about upgrading. i am worried about the amount of times i have had high speed crashes and had landed on its top. i dont have any kinda roll cage. they all seem either too big and heavy or not strong enough.

what cages do you guys use? and what other upgrades are good?

Cheers all

The best full cage you can get is the one by RCSolutions. Be sure to run a body as well if you get one.

New Era also sells a heavy duty roll bar that also works really well and can't be beat for the price.

ah ok, looks a bit stronger..

I dont know much about these things, my savage is only a 3.5 and I'm setting up for maximum acceleration for jumps and off roading, but i dont want it to be too heavy, do you think this will be the best one for me?

Many thanks again

Either would be fine for your application. The weight increase won't affect performance for what you are doing.

The RCSolutions full cage is aluminum and the New Era roll bar is steel.

I personally like the RCSolutions cage due to the look, but the price isn't for everybody. I can't stress enough that you must run a body when using an RCSolutions cage.

thanks for that info, may have to save up then for the RCsolutions one, why do you need to run a body? i have on of those that just sit on the top.( looks like a dodge charger type thing) I'm guessing thats no good?

also, i was told that i may have an extended chasis, i dont know for sure, as i bought it second hand, how can i tell what size i have so i know what size cage to buy?

Hi guys here is my savage 3.5! wheels are off as replacing hubs to aluminium>
