  1. Bashing
Well I got my Revo on order. Also a gallon of 20% nitro, 4600mah 7.2v venom and ac charger and a glow plug for after the run in. Do I need anything else? Anyway can't wait to get it.
Thanks :) :D ;) :hehe: :p:  :( :\ :whhooo: :first_place: :second_place: :third_place:

Just as a start and theres is a little more later but here is what you need to get you started....

1. 8 AA Batterys
2. WD-40 Or afterrun oil
3.Don't know if yours has a hump pack or not but if it doesn't you will need 4 more AA batterys.

This should get you moving and be patient with your break-in.

I thought revos came with a flat 1100mah 2/3A pack and charger. Personally, I'd upgrad the pack to a 1400-1600 pack just to get longer run times. Having 4 servo's on that thing will chew through a pack pretty quickly.

It all depends. I have never run my 1600 mAh dead in a normal day of bashing. And you CAN use your wall wart trickel charger for charging, but you can upgrade to a peak detecting charger for $30 plus shipping. They are much better chargers because you can peak them without worry of overcharging them. I have two of these: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=DYN4056

My pleasure! Receiver packs are something most people overlook. They do make a difference! Especially if you are running something with three and four big servos.

You have forgotten spare glow plugs, an extra glow plug ignitor, spare main gear, clutch shoes, springs, fuel line, air filter oil. You may also want to consider spare wheel nuts, spare wheel hex pins (these sit behind the hex and stop it rotating) I have snapped a couple before.

Another thing you should consider fitting is a FUEL FILTER. i never run a rig without one, even if it DOES have a sintered filter in the tank, Maybe consider fitting a wing aswell.

ALSO, stock up on parts that you know you might break.

Maybe look at getting RPM arms (Upgrade), good products and deff worth the investment.

ME ? Well, my 2.5 is staying stock till i break something, then it's upgrade time. On the other hand, my 3.3 is going to be be one heck of a show queen rig and is having Ti arms fitted.

I'm running the 1100mAH Traxxas Receiver pack in my revo platinum which has dual 2075 steering servos. I ran about 8 tanks of fuel today alone. And I still have plenty of juice left.

1100MAh NiMh pak + stock servo's = all good

1100MAh NiMh Pak and Upgraded servo's = Not good.

1600MAh NiMh pak (and upwards) & Upgraded servo's = better.

Addict, i have seen them online, made to order. and i HAVE seen 1600MAh upwards Hump paks ready top sell on certain websites too

I will do when i finally dig the link out of the annals of my hard drive (200 GB of data and i can't see it for looking !!! i moved it along with ALL my old "favourites" into an "anti loss" folder in case i had to re-install windows)

Sam,
I would just get what you need to get her running, For right now. IMO Don't fix what is not broken! I mean it is up to you and I am just making a suggestion... Get your batteries And have fun breaking in. And bashing.
