What do I do when I'm done playing with my nitro cars for the day?
What do I do for the engine??? Will it be fine if it was shut off by pinching the fuel line?
Can I just put away my truck and pull it out tomorrow?

You can shut it off by pinching the fuel line or plugging the stinger to kill the mill. Drain off all excess fuel in your tank and lines. If you are going to pull it out tomorrow then just shelve it. If you are putting it away for more than a day or two I would pull the glow plug and crank her over two or three times to get rid of the fuel in the carb. The add two or three drops of After-run Oil and spin the mill over once again. Replace the glow plug and put her away...

AMEN ROLEX !

I always throw ARO down the bore after running, even if it is only overnight or a couple of hours between use. Make it a habit to use ARO and your engine will thank you for it.

As an aside, never plug the stinger to shut down the engine, it flodds the engine with fuel. the best way is to pinch the fuel line. That way, the fuel in the engine is burnt up and none is left in there.

Also, make a habit of cleaning and re-oiling the air filter. A clean filter gives better performance than a grubby muck covered one.

After run

PULL AIR CLEANER AND PUT SOME AFTER RUN OIL IN THE CARB TOO. CAN'T BE TOO CAREFULL. :p::p::p::p:

well the new traxxas fuel is formulated so you dont have to do any after run as long as all the fuel is drained from the tank and motor. i did the after run while runnin this fuel and started killin glowplugs but only when i started it the first time after bein stored. the lhs told me i was gettin too much oil on the glow plug. the new fuel is traxxas top fuel power plus.

personally i hate traxxas fuel for that exact reason, too much freakin oil, i use odonnell's 25% and have some aro handy for when i am done playing

i hate their fuel too!!!!!! but i like the warrenty traxxas offers so i am gonna stick with their poop in a bottle! my frame is a mess after runnin while tryin to tune my motor! i hate it!!! i think i am gonna start shipping my truck to them and lettin them clean it!

good call pyro, but that extra oil does help look after the engine.

As revo_rob_1984 knows, i use helicopter fuel (16% blend) because of the extra oil content, never had a problem, so maybe something for you to look into..............

Revo racer 007, when i referred to "I always throw ARO down the bore after running" i was referring to down the carb and directly into the cylinder after removing the GP.

You just put it a better way............................

yeah i have thought about switchin fuels but the warrenty traxxas offers can't be passed up so i will stick with the traxxas fuel for now.
