So yesterday my T maxx ran away from me for the first and hopefully last time. Luckily I was in my backyard and I picked it up before it really went crazy. I noticed the radio stopped responding and when that happened I pick up the truck then all hell broke loose! but I cut it off so no damage was done to the truck...My question is, what else other than a radio glitch can cause a runaway?

What are some good rechargeable packs to buy?

Tenergy is about the best cost effective battery back you can get them off ebay for about 13 bucks shipped. and if your running the 4 AA type pack look for cracks in the holder I've heard that to cause runaways a few times on here.

+1 on getting a good 5 cell battery, which will fit in your battery box btw, just make sure it's a 5 cell 'hump' battery. You'll need a charger and a #3034 switch from traxxas.
Another thing that can cause interference is metal on metal contact from loose metal parts vibrating against one another.
