Well I just went a bit nuts with my Visa! I haven't even received my Savage yet in the mail and I just bought almost another whole trucks worth of parts! I sure hope that I like this thing! I spent just under 1000 bucks and I got suspension arms, CV axle kit, swaybar kit, battery indicator, nicad receiver pack, charger, infrared thermometer, piggyback shocks, FLM extended chassis, motor plate, FLM bulkheads, shock towers, cv boot kit, wheelie bar, FLM draglink, body mounts, and a bunch of stuff I'm sure I forgot. I sure can't wait until it all gets here!:D

Beavinator, Your gonna love that Savage buddy. Hope your not committed to anything else though. lol

All Joking aside, The upgrades sound great to me maybe a little overkill straight out of the box. Other upgrades would be 3.8" tires and wheels, better power plant, Ofna linkage upgrade, better steering servo and the 3 speed tranns. I would definitely get a better engine with the extended chassis.
well good luck hope you post some picks of the build.

hi

I'm sure that they arent the best but these are the arms I got for now. I am not gonna beat the hell out of my truck.

Holy poop I just noticed I never even got shocks. I must have forgot to hit the buy button. Anyways I spent 790 bucks and got wheelie bar, sway bars, FLM chassis, 2 FLM bulkheads, FLM skid brace, FLM drag link, FLM TVP brace, FLM motor plate, U-joint cvd axle kit, Shock towers, Body Mounts, Suspension arm kit, CV boot kit. Thats it. Man these things are not cheap. I still need skid plate, shocks, bumpers, wheels, tires, roll bar, 3 speed tranny, and I'm sure there is things I can't think of.

These were the shocks I was gonna get.

Looks pretty good to me. I love those shocks.. blue/yellow is the best color combo EVAHHHHH i have that same look on the jato and it looks great. but those are nicer they have external res. pretty neat.

Personally... I wouldn't have bought those arms and definitely not those shocks. Alloy arms are kind of useless for a basher. You just bend them and more than likely break anything attached to them. Good for a shelf queen, not so good for much else.

The shocks to me appear very prone to damage with the piggy sticking up top.

If I were to buy arms, I'd just get RPM and for shocks, HPI big bores.

Will sure be a good looking savage at least. :)

X2 100% on that, your as good as bent on that one

I'm not real worried about it. If they bend ill get RPM's. I just hate plastic!

I actually went with these shocks instead

As I do not care for plastic either, but RPM makes good stuff, hit the corner of my house on the foundation pretty good and it barely scratched my RPM front bump. Better choise on the shocks for sure, even down the road if you toast your shafts they may make a 5mm Titanium Nitrate shafts which I hear are the best.

Lets see your rig :D

^ those are nice, those look actually like the same company as my jato exactly. and they are good shocks..

I personally dont like the big bores.. even though they are larger bore i noticed my truck sags with them and i had to add my jatos stock springs ontop of the savages stock springs to get my ride height back. I personally like the original double shocks on the older savages... I actually noticed the big bores bottom out easier than the dual shock savages ... with big bore i can maybe drop my savage from alittle over waist high and it bottoms out... with the dual shocks I've see people drop those trucks from over head height and they still dont bottom out.

External res shocks in my opinion are alot better for absorbing than normal shocks so i personally would choose external res over anything else anyday.

For the arms.. they dont look to bad, i like how you can adjust camber. I personally dont know the strength. But i know in the past my old t maxx had all integy and it was a hardcore basher and never had one thing bend. so i beg to differ with the whole idea that they bend easily.

if i could afford it, i would choose these over anything out there http://www.flextekrc.com/products/savage/savage.shtml titanium arms... sooo awesome.. if i could.. i would have a full titanium savage and burn all the titanium for that sexy burnt look. and there is a video somewhere out there on these arms and they are soooooooo strong yet flexable but dont bend.. its amazing. ill look for it....................................... here it is [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzKU8QNVJEw"]FlexTek Suspension Arm Demonstration - YouTube[/ame]

Even more since they are discontinued. I saw a set fetch over 350$ on fleabay for just 2 lower arms. They are pretty sick, but not worth $700 to fully equip a truck. Even worse, I've not see a set for sale since :(

Ill put some pics up when I can. I haven't even got my truck yet. Its still in customs.

you ordered it out of country ? dude you could have gotten it on ebay from omnimodels ... they sell 100% bran new original hpi savages for only like 450 shipped.. and they are in the country.

idk i want all titanium every thing and i wanna put all of it over a torch .. i mean who wouldnt love that all over their savage ? http://phuonger.247media.org/photos/albums/phuOnger Build v3/w1.jpg OMG my heart melts every time i see burnt titnaium. i sware one day ima post my savage burnt titanium build !!!

Good luck Dude, Those arms are some of the rarest, most sought after parts for the Savage in existence. If you ever find somebody willing to sell a full upper and lower set, you're looking at around $1400 potentially. That was 350$ for 2 lower arms, that's it.

Well i dont have to have those arms specifically... i just want some sort of titanium arms.. or.. send some normal aluminum arms to dippedparts.com and then coated with burnt titanium finish.

Has rolex seen those arms yet. Being that his rig has more bling than anything, I'm surprised us does not have them yet.

I am in Canada thats why my truck is at customs. I ordered it from Tower Hobbies.
