Well, I have some money on my hands, and might decide to invest it into savage stuff, and #1 on my list is an engine....so, which should I get? Or should I wait for that new hyper 28... :smoke:

I'd prefer to keep it under $200 or around $200....

And, anyone know where to get the werks/collari LC30MT??

And, anyone have any experience w/ the SH 28??

Bruce has the collarifor 200.
www.rushrc.com

That hyper .28 (i think its what he was running) is winning nat races in the Jammin truggy. Collari is a tid bit hard to tune.

So far, it looks like the picco .27 is gonna be my best bet. I want a powerful engine, but it can't be too powerful because I race. Anyone use this engine?

Ya, I saw the vid of the picco 27. And I'm not too impressed w/ the wasp 28. I've seen a few vids of the wasp 28, and the picco 27 out-powers it by a good-amount. Same w/ the k4.6...
But I have heard that the picco 27 is a nightmare to tune, can anyone confirm this?
What I'm looking for in an engine is something that's pretty easy to tune, fits my $200 budget, and makes lots of power, but not too much for racing.

get the wasp you can get those for like 150. i got one and its sweet. looks cool too.

you can get a sirio .27 11 port on ebay for around 200. You have to look at the right time though. Another is Nova rossi .28 3 port you can almost always pick them up on ebay for 200.

How is the tuning on it? Hard? Easy?
Are You Talking About The Wasp I Mentioned? It holds A Tune Pritty Well. Its harder To Tune Than The S-25. And The Needles Are Very Sensitive To Slight Changes. Its Not Too Hard. You Should Pick One Up...

I Got Mine At www.lightninghobby.com You Might Be Able To Find It For Less. But Lightning Hobby Has Some Good Prices. Go To There Engine Page They Got all the cool Engines (piccos, wasps, diablos, collaris, etc) All For Good Prices. They Got The Cheapest collari I Have Seen Too.

I'm not sre on the power of the Picco .27, but the Wasp .28 has tons of power when properly tuned, and would be plenty of power for racing. Others to look at are the Collari .30 and Novarossi .28 3-Port. I have a Collari engine and it is very easy to tune, its a .21 tho, not the .30. For racing I would highly suggest taking a look at the Novarossi, but if want to go cheaper go for the Wasp .28.

When it comes time for the LST to get a new engine I'm going for a Fantom. I heard alot of great things from the 27s they have, and they run about $180 at Stormer Hobbies. Not sure about thier big blocks, but their small blocks pack alot of heat, and are the easiest to tune. Maybe look into one of them if you don't want the extream Italian engines.

Well, so far I plan to go w/ a mach 26 because I've heard that they have a smooth throttle band, are very easy to tune, and make a lot of power. I would go w/ a FR27, but everywhere I look, it says that they've been discontinued...

If you're interested in the Mach .26, you might want to take a look at the Sportwerks .26. It is the same engine with a better carb, and sells for $129.00. I've heard the power is great and it's very easy to tune. I'm about to drop one in my monster gt or savage. I haven't figured out which one yet.

Ya, I was planning on getting the sporwerks .26 anyway, but I ended up getting a 1/8 buggy instead of hopping up the savage.
