I should have just stayed inside today. I was actually going to but I said eh what the heck and went out. So I go to drive my Baja and I go out to the pond for a few minutes. I'm just about to call it a run when I decide to make one last pass when suddenly -- THUNK!

Yep. Head on into a drainage pipe. It was a fairly slow speed crash but the damage is significant enough that I'll need a new front chassis brace.

I think the angled front part of the chassis is slightly bent too.

I request that anyone with a Baja 5b please measure the angle of the front of the main chassis so I can bent it back. Thank You.

I love HPI.

I called them for a part number because apparently my manual had the wrong numbers and by the time I was finished I had the entire front bulkhead set on the way. Forget Traxxas support. They got nothing on HPI.
