Is that what it actually said???

Thanks Çh®i§tiªñ, I have been aware of your site ever since it became a Traxxas bashing ground and I had to start dealing with the fallout. WoodiE said that it had improved a lot and invited me to check it out.

You guys offer a different kind of forum than we do and thats great. Not everybody likes the strict enforcement on our site.

Please stroke the ego! If it gets ruined thats ok since it is only an alter ego anyway.

To be honest all of us have one thing in common. We love Traxxas products, tech support, and customer service its all OUTSTANDING! ...................................but where our problem lyes is with the couple from Oregon. Granted you can't please everyone all the time, but they take it to a different level. I understand the need for no faul langauge or ill content do to the wide age range that visits your site. I always respected that. My problem is when you state your own opinion if it differs from the couples things start to get interesting. They start to make things hard on you until it finally comes to a head and you get banned.

I want to re-iterate my point that the G or PG setting you provide over there is fine with me and I totally respect that, but if you replaced 2 yes 2 mods there your site would be a whole different world. I know what your thinking, If they go 2 new mods will be hated by people because they are mods and they have a job to do. In my opinion that is so untrue unless the 2 mods were Hitler and Musulini(sp?). So we or at leat I do not bash Traxxas or their online forum but 2 specific people that are there.

Strict enforcement is one thing banning members because the Admins and Mods put words in their own heads is something completely different. Banning members without even giving them an idea of an infraction is ok for something that's blatent, such as the use of a curse word (mind you not not the abreviation).

I have no problem if someone baltently violates the black and white rules getting banned. However, for the more subtle violations that may or may not be written but slightly implied this should not mean banning. I know I got a nasty-gram from one of your mods for using the abreviation BS. I use that daily as Bad Stuff. I learned that abreviation 20 years ago as Bad Stuff when I was in Junior High. After the mod writting a PM to me it was appearant that whether I liked it or not the fact that the mod saw it as a curse word, or an abreviation for a curse word it was wrong.

Even things like that I can live with when there's a set standard however, the Traxxas board seems a little too cliqush to me. It seems that you're either in the the clique or you are not. If you are not any slight slip will result in banning. The forum way over uses banning. One site with over 30,000 members that I was one of the Admins for over 2 years never banned anyone in the quantity that the Traxxas board bans people. In my tenure there I only know of about a half a dozen actual people getting banned. While it was not a lawless place we let members know what they could and couldn't do by automatic partial bans. If it was a minor infraction like maybe using a curse word they could be locked from the board for a period of 1 day to 3 weeks. The only people who were ever permenently banned were those who posted racial hate pics or porn.

The reason for the lesser rules is by letting people know when the mess up what they did and when they would be allowed to return to the site was exceptionally helpful because the members was literally watchdogs for the mods and admins letting new members know if they had broken some sacred rule. Banning someone permenently from a site seems a little extreme for someone who posted something that was an implied rule. Kinda like cutting off your head when you have a headache. The headache will end but so will your life. Just a suggestion

Hey Traxxas Support - Let me ask, would my Sig be ok on Your site?

Also, while I understand you may think this is/was a Traxxas bashing forum, it is not. We simply let people express themselves regardless of who or what it is about. Trust me when I tell you that your site isnt the only one. We even let users bash this site if they like. We are all about open honesty

Interesting way to say you don't mind the members saying loud and proud, FY!!!

Welcome to the site.
Please share your incite on the Traxxas product with us its always nice to have a knowledgeable person to help out.

I do have a few questions?
Being branded with the Traxxas name on this site, will they (Traxxas) consider you an ambassador to our site and hold you to the strict rules they have put in place on their forum?

When you post are you posting as a Traxxas Employee or posting your own opinions?

Just wondering....
I hope to see you be a productive member of this forum.

So does this mean your finally coming out of the closet Christian?

SilentHunterKellen I did note the masculine assumption. It might have been more appropriate to have said goddess!!!

Humboldt and El Pirata, You guys are just free spirits who don't appreciate the constraints that we apply. I admit that it is probably the most zero tolerance site you will find. It is also true that people moderate it so the decisions will not always be unbiased or completely consistent. Your comments are duly noted! One thing that you might wish to note about our Oregon couple is that, while they seem able to irritate you to distraction, they only have the ability to delete threads. A Moderator must do actual banning.

FastEddy, as much as I might like to post my own opinions I am posting from work and I am posting under the Traxxas name. I don't know if ambassador is the word I would have chosen but I suppose it is as good as any.

Çh®i§tiªñ your sig would probably get by although it is a bit on the wild side. Of course the banner would not fly and the RCNT reference would not make it either.

Now before you yell about that, let me explain. We do not allow links to sites which we feel contain inappropriate content. Remember those kids? It does not take too long here to find material that my mom would find offensive. This is not the only site that gets that treatment. Don't take it as a personal slight. On the other hand don’t take it as a challenge either.

First I would like to say Thanks for coming over here, it's nice to have someone from R/C manufactures here and posting on RCNT.

Just as Eddy and other members have hoped, I too hope you can give up info from time to time.

Again, Welcome to RCNitroTalk!

good show TS:cheers:

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question/comment. I understand that it takes an admin to ban my point was that those two lead you right to that situation, but that's from my prespective and I haven't walked a mile in their shoes......
