Hi guys

I have a firestorm 10T with a G3.0 engine (which I sealed before I ran it) in it and I have been experiencing some weird engine behaviour.

Only once out of about 10 tanks has it died properly for a rich engine. By that I mean rev up due to decreased fuel in the air-to-fuel mix.
About 7 times out of that the engine has just shut off without warning.
The last 2 tanks through it it has bogged seriously and then died with a tiny bit of fuel left in the tank.

I'm kind of leaning towards are carb problem but you input would be greatly appreciated.

It's too lean, all nitro's lean out some near the end of the tank. Run it a bit richer. Those engines are a pain. I know firsthand. I hate the carb.

My MT2 G3.0 did the same thing, and believe it or not it was too lean from the factory as Scrogg already eluded to. I fattened it up and it quit dying on me. Counterintuitive I know but it's true. Maybe something HPI needs to look into...

Yep, like have SH or O.S. supply their engines. Or make their Ofna and Axial made engine supplier do a better job. The F4.6 is the most consistent one they offer, it's an Ofna.
I just do not get why Axial ,Traxxas, Thunder Tiger all put such cheap bearings in their engines. 20 dollars more spent on bearings would make them last like the big names, and still be way cheaper.
