:) hi all ,

when i start my truck i go to take off the glo igniter then dies wats the matter with it ?? :ponder2: :ponder2:

the glow igniter fully chared
glowplug brand new
the right setting they say in the book ( hps)

only things i can think of is the idle srew they dont actually say the settings for that in tha book

i got a thundertiger ssk vi 4wd with pro-15bxs pullstart system engines

can any1 help me please

thanks nitro freak

The base settings aren't always correct depending on your atmospheric conditions. Is your idle gap approximately 1-2mm? It's about the thickness of a credit card. Does the engine idle for a little while and then die? Or does it quit soon as you remove the ignitor? Try running around for 20-30 seconds with the glow ignitor on to get the engine up to temp. Also a brand new glowplug is not a guarantee of ignition, I've had some that were bad right out of the package.

I'm thinking it might be a touch rich.
My 2 cents

Ill second that.....Lean it a bit.Get it running and up to temp. And if needed you can richen it up after it is running..Factory settings are always rich.

the idle gap is about 2mm it quit as soon as i remove the glo igniter mindyou the glowigniter is about 4 days old .

i do run it about for 30-40 secs then take it out then it does run fine

this aint normal right ??

i try to keep it a lil rich prevent from overheating

i aint got a temp gun yet better safe than sorry

thanks nitrofreak

i did have a os a3 plug init it but that went and my dad bought a os a5 r they diffent to each other ?

is a os a3 and a o3 a5 a same plug?????????? thanks nitrofreak

I'm with the other guys on it being too rich.

Do yourself a favor and get a temp gun as soon as you can.
For about $25, it's worth it. It'll save you a lot of hassle.

an A3 plug is a hot plug and the A5 is a med-cold plug. Without changing needle settings, you would be running too rich.

will that plug wrek my engine ? hope not lk

I'm getting temp gun v soon from modelspork uk its a good site it is
