hey guys just wondering what parts i would need and what i would all have to do to completely water proof my maxx?:)

Ya ever seen a hamster in one of them balls? Its the only way to completly waterproof your rig.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh! I wana see it in a big plastic bubble.

But seriously, you can "seal" your electronics in balloons, but you will never make a rig truly waterproof unlesss you get "waterproof" electronics. + you gotta watch out for your motor sucking in water.

yea i know that but I'm just saying like how can i keep my stering servo and sutff from fryin on me

Blue rtv works like a champ. Ran for a couple hours non-stop in about six inches of the fluffy stuff with no hitches. Be careful and take your time when splittin' the servos. I used a paper clip and applied a small amount where the cases seat together. Rubber o-rings on the output gears on top work great. Apply some grease to the o-rings so they don't cause a bind and top it off by putting a dab of rtv on the horn screws and tighten 'em up. Patience is your friend here, but I'm not guaranteeing anything. Water's always risky.

Seal the battery and reciever boxes the same way. Don't forget about where the wires exit the boxes. Don't use rtv on the antenna hole. It's to greasy and the tube will come right out. Use super glue(a DAB on the tube) and finish it off with heat shrink tubing. Best of luck.

i like to do the ballons. its cheap! and mostly because its not permanent so you can take it off when your done. also i like to put a little square of paper towel in my ballon so it sucks up the moistier if any gets in the bag.
