If you have had any experience with either or mill, What do you think of them?

For Christmas, the wife said she would get me a new mill for my Savage so i am in the hunt!!

I have done a search but still not sold on either one.

Are they made by the same people?

Yes they are the same engine. I had the wasp .26 in a savage and really liked it. fast and easy to tune....but hard on drivetrain parts. My friend had both and swore the wasp was a better engine, faster and ran better, but from everything I read they are the same. If I was buying one I would give the wasp a try, pretty good mill for a savage. Nice quality, made in Italy, newer ones like the .28's are made in asia...I don't know about you, but if I was getting a new engine Italian all the way!!! IMO

if you decide on a mill from asia make it an SH. (xtm 24.7, 24.7 pro, SH .28) i run a wasp 26 in my savage and its a great mill, all the power you need. before you run it take out the needles and clean off the flash from the o-rings and tuning will be a snap.

I have a Wasp .26 seems like it always runs good.I didnt know about the .28 if any has some specs or a links putem up thanx-Marc

As stated both .26 engines are the same and made by Picco. They are one of the best mt engines available for under $200.
