I’ve got a confession. This thread isn’t up to date. I’m actually further along than what you see here, yet nowhere near finished.

As I’ve wrapped up each assembly, I’ve been fitting everything to the chassis. I was holding out hope for a new chassis, but that’s looking less likely despite the effort from both myself and @Littlemotor. Still on the lookout though. The old one is usable, just well worn.

So, let me bring you up to speed......

I may have mentioned already, that I found a new MBX7 motor mount. This is it compared to the MBX6 mount. Different design.

What about the extended chassis?

Mugen Aluminium servo horn and Ti link fitted and adjusted. T-works Aluminium saver upper arm.

I bought this servo a while ago on sale. Figured I'd try it and if I don’t like it I can always upgrade.
Servo Specs:
Voltage Range: 6.0V ~8.4V
Motor Type: coreless Motor
Dimensions: 40x20x48.6mm
Weight: 75g
Standing Torque:
35kg-cm @ 6.0V / 45kg-cm @ 8.4V
Idle Current:
350mA @ 6.0V / 410mA @ 8.4V
Running Current:
3500mA @ 6.0V, 4000mA @ 8.4V
Ball Bearing: 2BB

The servo screws are T-Works Titanium servo screws 3X12mm.

Skid plates and bumpers.

I did away with the original Mugen frt bumper and fitted a BumpSkid designed for the Mugen MBX7 but it fits perfectly. P/N: DER-408-M

Rear skid is by T-Bone Racing. P/N: 40062. Again designed for the MBX7. Offers more protection than the DE Racing rear skid.
